And now something new: Sat Oct 21 22:10:45 2017 | SETI@home | Task postponed: Suspicious pulse results, host needs reboot or maintenance Reboot, not surprisingly, does not help. Appreciate any insights. Resolved on my system after new version release. |

I forwarded that to the admins here, who forwarded it to the OpenCL app developers. So far no one who knows what it means or how to correct it. If the task is still at that message, I'd abort it. Any task suggesting that you manually edit something in the BOINC files is best aborted. That's what I told the admins as well, that it's best that these tasks auto-abort when they run into such an error, before we're forcing the user to go fix a problem caused by the project's applications. |

Task postponed: CL file build failure I just started getting this error message consistently after Dec. 1. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?userid=1155628 MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2 (17C88) BOINC Manager 7.8.4 MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB |

NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MBI think your GPU doesn't have enough memory to be used here, or OpenCL 1.1 compliancy is required at minimum. |

NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MBI think your GPU doesn't have enough memory to be used here, or OpenCL 1.1 compliancy is required at minimum. I was wondering because it seems to have happened to others, and it just started Dec. 1 (ish). Prior to that other workunits completed error free —did something change? |

NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MBI think your GPU doesn't have enough memory to be used here, or OpenCL 1.1 compliancy is required at minimum. I'm sure your OpenCL is OK. You can look in BOINCmanager->Window-LogViewer at the top for whats currently running; Example of mine: OpenCL: AMD/ATI GPU 0: AMD Radeon R9 M395X Compute Engine (driver version 1.2 (Dec 5 2017 21:33:39), device version OpenCL 1.2, 4096MB, 4096MB available, 2327 GFLOPS peak) OpenCL CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz (OpenCL driver vendor: Apple, driver version 1.1, device version OpenCL 1.2) You can find what is installed by default at apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202823 [/url] BTW I haven't been getting any CL failure errors for awhile from SETI, not sure why. |

NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MBI think your GPU doesn't have enough memory to be used here, or OpenCL 1.1 compliancy is required at minimum. Thu Dec 21 22:43:25 2017 | | OpenCL: NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 320M (driver version 10.4.14 310.90.30.05b27, device version OpenCL 1.0, 256MB, 256MB available, 547 GFLOPS peak) Thu Dec 21 22:43:25 2017 | | OpenCL CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8600 @ 2.40GHz (OpenCL driver vendor: Apple, driver version 1.1, device version OpenCL 1.2) I'm confused by why it worked for months, then stopped, unless something changed. |

I had a few successful on my Mid-2010 13" MacBook Pro with GeForce 320M, before I upgraded to High Sierra. Guess I shouldn't have made the upgrade, because now I have the same error as everyone else. Does anyone else know of a project that will work with this card? WUprop doesn't seem to be working very well these days. Click here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats |

I didn't correlate it to the update to High Sierra but I think you're right. Other projects like Citizen Science Grid, Einstein, Rosetta, and World Community Grid are unaffected. |

My machine worked well until the upgrade to High Sierra. MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010) Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512 MB Intel HD Graphics 288 MB Boinc Manager 7.8.6 The gpu performed flawlessly. Bruce Walker |

I rolled my MBP Mid-2010 back to El Capitan (10.11) and SETI GPU tasks are back and crunching without incident. I would go to Sierra, but don't currently have installation media for it. Click here to see My Detailed BOINC Stats |
