I have just gotten LUbuntu (Light Ubuntu) up and running. Got it to install nvidian drivers, boinc-client and boinc-manager. I actually am processing some SetiBeta cpu and gpu tasks. But if I want to set the 1 gpu to 1 cpu in "app_config.xml" where is it? If I want to set the mcuda50.cfg parameters where is it? If I want to set the mb*sog.txt command line where is it? I have poked around and found stuff "all over the place" in what is probably perfectly rational locations under Ubuntu and/or Lubuntu. But I haven't found the above. And the Boinc log specifically mentions downloading some of the parameter text files. Thank you, Tom Miller, Linux Newbie A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

We have this nice user manual at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/User_manual which shows all that information for all the different Linux distros. In the case of Lubuntu, a Ubuntu clone, that's at http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_BOINC_on_Ubuntu#What_the_installer_does You can also see where the data directory is in the messages, as normal. It'll be at /var/lib/boinc-client/ |
