I forgot to post this at the time, but.................... June Foray also did a fair amount of work with Stan Freberg. Including this wonderful gem, which I enjoy and chuckle to when listening as much as the first time I heard it. Stan's comedy is pure genius in my estimation, and June's voice is unmistakably sprinkled throughout. This is probably from the CD reissue, as the sound is flawless. And in stereo as well! Stan Freberg Presents the United States of America. From Wikipedia............... Stan Freberg Presents The United States of America Volume One: The Early Years is an American comedy album with music and dialogue written by Stan Freberg, released as Capitol W/SW-1573 in 1961. Freberg satirizes episodes of the history of the United States from 1492 until the end of the Revolutionary War in 1783. The album combined dialogue and song in a musical theater format. Billy May orchestrated the music. In addition to Freberg, the cast included the following performers: Jesse White Peter Leeds Byron Kane Colleen Collins Helen Kleeb Shep Menken Walter Tetley Marvin Miller June Foray Barney Phillips Maurice Dallimore Peter Forster John Frank Paul Frees MeowagainJuneandothers.
