You two could find a problem with a cure for Cancer.......... I can see the black box on that one already, "May cause death," like nearly every other drug on the market today. Lawyers! Want reform, start there. |

Thought atheists did not hold any "religious" beliefs? Tolerant atheists and the tolerant in general. Unlike Illiberal and Intolerant Radical Left Ideologues, Intolerant Radical Right Ideologues and Intolerant Religious Fanatics. Have no problem. Thought atheists did not hold any "religious" beliefs? So those arguing for statues to be removed or buildings renamed don't mind benefitting from the scholarships or libraries provided? |

An interesting report. All humans are with sin. Be it MLK, Gandhi, FDR, Washington, et al. They must be judged regarding if the good they did. Far outway their sins. An interesting report. Where will it all end? Have we crawled so far up our rectums, we'll never see daylight again? |

It could also be in the form of a government loan guarantee(like student loans) and repaid to the lender as the employee becomes self supporting and hopefully prosperous in their new career. So you now want to create more indentured servants for the banksters like the student loan programs have effectively done. |

I think you have the funding backwards. The states are terrified of lazy-butt sitters moving into them and instantly applying for welfare benefits, unemployment, etc. That is why those state paid benefits terminate when you move. You haven't been a resident of the new state long enough to qualify for them. Now if you want to take these programs away from the states and make them federal so the benefits transfer ... |

Back in the depression government benefits didn't force people to stay put.EXACTLY my point. Local unemployment is also a National problem and requires both Local and National expenditures to offset in the form of benefits(unemployment comp, 'food stamps'(or whatever the term is now), housing subsidies, vouchers for this and that......... The intelligent solution would be to apply those funds to matching those seeking jobs or better jobs to employers with open positions on a National basis and subsidizing the transition to those jobs. Emphasis due to the temporary nature of the benefit. It could also be in the form of a government loan guarantee(like student loans) and repaid to the lender as the employee becomes self supporting and hopefully prosperous in their new career. I've stated infinitum that Masons, Electricians, HVAC Techs, Finish Carpenters(and Norwegian for that matter), Medical Equipment Techs and other fields are desperately in need of young people and older for that matter who are willing to learn a trade and relocate to where the work is. The problem I see is what you stated, the 'Rust Belt' states and all local governments are fiercely protective of themselves and their funding which would go away with the migration. But that is a cycle that has repeated many times and has recovered each time. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

There is an entire country to look for a job, it happened with my parents and grandparents in the Depression. They moved from Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska and Louisiana and sought opportunities in Wyoming and Colorado.carpetbaggers ... ;-) Those opportunities exist today if people are willing to look for them. AND their local employment assistance offices should be helping them find those opportunities. This is part of the current apprenticeship programs being started and ongoing.Correct, immediately leave the failed rust belt red states and come to the thriving blue states. ;-) Just know that you lose your government benefit once you cross that state line. Back in the depression government benefits didn't force people to stay put. |

Would have thought one of those 45'ers would be screaming that the DPRK hacked the elections or some such and 45'ers won by huge margins and where are the screams of fake news at the vote totals? Perhaps their capability to suspend belief in facts has limits after all.True THINKING citizens leave such accusations and infantile tantrums to those who can't accept their failure and move on(Hilliary Snowflakes)...... Kwanza and Druid Winter solstice celebrations generate more these days ... ;-)And another glib remark when the facts aren't there for support.... Within your post is the answer to the local dilemma and part of the beauty of the USA. ..."here in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area of Florida." There is an entire country to look for a job, it happened with my parents and grandparents in the Depression. They moved from Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska and Louisiana and sought opportunities in Wyoming and Colorado. Those opportunities exist today if people are willing to look for them. AND their local employment assistance offices should be helping them find those opportunities. This is part of the current apprenticeship programs being started and ongoing. But the bottom line is when there was no 'social safety net' people went where the jobs were. The explosion of social benefits available has removed the incentive to relocate for a better lifestyle in a lot of cases. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

It looks like people are certainly not going to elect those who follow Trump's lead in playing their hate cards to win votes. Would have thought one of those 45'ers would be screaming that the DPRK hacked the elections or some such and 45'ers won by huge margins and where are the screams of fake news at the vote totals? I would be interested in how many posters feel the alleged fiscal pain personally to which they refer anecdotally........ I can only reference here in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area of Florida. I know many, with good employment history, no criminal record, etc. Whose only available employment is Part Time, in the Service Industry, at very low wages. Years ago, this was not the case. Lov'n those jobs, 10,000 more looking for work than last week right in the middle of hiring for the holiday season! ROFLMAO..............at least there IS some work to look for other than flipping burgers and scrubbing toilets in Motels(Obamanomics)...........I would be interested in how many posters feel the alleged fiscal pain personally to which they refer anecdotally........ and I'm sure those two Hurricanes had nothing to do with unemployment claims......... By the way, AMAZON is hiring like crazy! And not just 'temporary' for the 'Holiday Season'(can't say CHRISTmas anymore?). "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Good, but you seem to be over focused on only one of them. By the way I did edit mine for fear it would be misinterpreted. Please do the same. Interesting attack. I have many attributions and posted them regarding misquoting my posts. Awaited, to no avail, your mentioning them. Re: Focus on "only one of them". I was just responding to your 'One Sided' post. Nothing more, nothing less. I excuse neither side. BTW: If the Democrat Party finally admits that their attempt to divide this country along racial, gender, ethnic, etc. groups. Has been a disaster to their national political power. Or "angry white males". Sorry Mr. Kevvy. I don't excuse racial, gender or ethnic attacks from either side. You mean like blaming "illegal aliens" (not-very-subtle codeword for Mexicans) every time "your candidate" loses an election?
