I live in Kentucky, about 7 hours to the west of the Green Bank telescope, and I'm thinking about taking a drive for a tour of the facility, but it would be cool to have some other people meet me there. I don't have any target date for the trip. I'm just thinking if I'm going to drive that far, and maybe other people are interested, it would be nice to do it together. Individual tours are open to the public, but if it's something a group of us wants to do, I think we should contact them. If you're interested, please post in this thread. It's 529 miles for me from Nashville. Too far for a day trip and return. |

You'd be talking an overnight B&B but surely worth it? Yes, definitely an overnight deal for me, but that's ok. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

A link to this piece has been made before, but it's a good one, so I'm re-posting it. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/10/141010-radio-telescope-green-bank-west-virginia-astronomy/ The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
