This one sounds more like what I need. I can defur all my parts with a suitable nose.
Nose?? :))
Nozzle?

You can read me!

I take it that you mean attachment there.

Cheers.

Well,

I like cats, but I'm not attached to those or those owning them.
But the nozzle sounds like the gadget I was referring to, when talking about breathing in or out the hairy balls from my RAC producing HW.

I opted for a couple of good case with added ultra fine filters which I clean/vacuum weekly. Taping holes over and pressurizing the case so air only enters through good filters really helps. This 1907 house is so dusty it is impossible to keep computers clean otherwise.

My mid ATX cases are no problem to haul out to the shop to get a good blow job every month or 2, but these bigger cases are just to heavy to do that regularly - if ever! If I have parts out, then they get a real good cleaning. I had my 1080s out after 4 months of use, and cleaned them, but they were pretty much spotless. 175 PSI does wonders - just hold the fans from spinning, over speed on them will not be good.

Yeah, thanx.

I'll try to hold the fans from spinning during the blow job
regardless of the nozzle pressure
and whatever may be ejected
to keep the ball bearings safe from damage.

I've been warned. Now I know.

Petri, Petri, Petri. The things you do with your cards... ;-)

Holding things firmly, pressure buildup, stuff ejected, keeping 'things' safe from damage during the 'process'... I tell ya... lol ;-)

Sorry, I just couldn't let it pass :-$ My bad.

If you say there is no dust in the systems, you must have one of these:

Otherwise, you may be missing some. One of the best purchases I ever made... pays for itself in a few months not needing those gawdawful weaksauce cans that miss half the dust and spray liquid if they're anything but vertical.

Its funny I have that guy sitting next to me and I do use it once every 1-2months.

I'm concluding your luck is about as bad as mine is then. :^)

Based upon your guys comments I bought one and it arrived yesterday. Funniest thing was, I opened it up, set it on the counter and plugged it in, and the as switch was on, it blew itself off the counter, I barely caught it before it hit the floor because I was so surprised. Going to try using it today, but other than it's a bit loud (which is to be expected when getting that much volume out of that small a device) it looks to be quite the piece of machinery.

Hi,

my next question was going to be about protection during those jobs. Loud noises, hard to keep standing hardware, ... WHAT else. Do I even dare to try?

:)

I bought/use ear protectors for my cleaning sessions. There is so much power and airflow in such a small device it can't help but be loud. The over-ear ones at dollar stores are sufficient.

I tried using my noise cancelling ones that I use when I mow and use my gas powered blower, it seems to work quite well. I figure I've only got one set of ears, and would like to keep them working properly for as long as I can.
