Actually I don't think they do the same thing, one is used to prepare one end and the other is used to prepare the other end, but to get a single joint operation accomplished.

At work we get what those put in when they are no longer needed.



So many responses but no one actually named the tool. However, I am going to award the prized to the hip joint collector, Gary Charpentier. He clearly identified what they do. One end prepares the leg bone the other the hip bone for a replacement hip. But the name is Surgical rasp.
Take it away Gary.
