Some times ...
Got a call from Doc today, "So sorry to tell you but the date for your surgery will have to be changed. The outpatient surgery center had a water main burst and it flooded. I'll get back to you when we can reschedule."
Thanks doc, Oh by the way, did you know just as I arrived for the first surgery last week, just as my driver took the parking ticket out of the machine, the building fire alarm went off?

Do you think I should buy a lotto ticket?

I'm sticking with 7 as long as I can. I suppose eventually I'll get a new computer and it will have 10 on it and I'll learn to live it, but I will never "upgrade" my 7s.

Why? Do what a lot of us DIY crunchers do. Build your own as you want it done. So you can keep 7 as long as it's viable.

Or, do what I did... Turn your PC into a MAC/Hackintosh. :-)

MAC OS X, 10.11.4 running one year and five months now. System thinks it's a MAC Pro 3,1 - 2008 Series, has 16 GB DDR2 RAM, two EVGA GTX-750TI SC GPUs with 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM each, one 1TB Western Digital Black HD for Win 7 Pro x64, (Prometheus), and one 1TB Western Digital Black HD for MAC OS X. (Andromeda.) The Win side is 3.5 years old; BUT, has NOT been running since I got MAC OS to run.

Everyone else in NC says to go Linux... I CAN'T understand the Command Line structure, and REFUSE to use it for that reason. If I CANNOT Double Click to Install a program then I WON'T be making use of that program. I say GO MAC!!!!! :-)

I keep forgetting to. Just as well I didn't last week.

Actually you select a checkbox and press ok. Desktops have gotten much better.

Garry, You are certainly having some "luck" with your appointments, I hope they get it right next time.

Look on the bright side - you weren't actually "under the knife" when the pipe burst.

Yes, the Desktops are OK; but, making USE of the OS and System REQUIRES knowledge of Command Line. I REFUSE to do this with Linux. When they conform to MAC/PC standards and allow Double Click to install EVERY program, AND, ALL games can run NATIVELY in Linux, THEN I will give it another chance.

Until then, I will stick with my MAC/Hackintosh and Win 7 Pro x64. (Even still have XP Pro x64 on Exeter, my AMD A6-6400K system.)

The thread at Einstein has reached its intended target, but there's a flag on the play.
