There are many routes from southern to northern Illinois, and every one of them was congested to a crawl Monday night.

Post 717 comin' outta the sky.

Posting while not winning the Powerball Jackpot, $759 Million, lump sum after taxes about $336 Million, that boggles My mind.

It would tickle my fancy.

I know of about 14 or so things I'd do:

Fix a friends Jeep 4x4(they live outside the park, one is in the ER now),
fix My current car,
buy a newer car and use the current car as a trade in at Carmax,
buy a bigger place,
upgrade the newer place,
hire a mover,
move out of here(which is why I would fix the 4x4),
fix up this place,
pay the property taxes for 2017 on My current place(as the county wants),
give this place to an other friend here in the park,
sign the old place that I'm living in now to the other friend in the park(making Him the owner),
signing a quit claim deed(getting My name off the title),
move Him in, and hand Him the keys,
do some final business at the local Post Office,
and at long last I'd be out of this area.

If you had been the winner of this jackpot, you could have done all that with the odd fraction and still had the $758 million.

Well cash value after taxes is about $336 million. A totally safe investment could earn 4% per year at minimum. I would expect to be able to earn about 12-15% or more. But at 4% that would be $36,800 per day.
Vic you just spend about 15 days worth of interest.

And these are all high estimates (except the new bigger place. That could be a lot more. House I would build would likely be in the $20 million range. Land alone is about $15 million. Hey I live in an expensive area. I don't think anything i less than $2 million, and that is for something that is not water front.

jeep repairs $5,000
Car repairs $5,000
New Mustang $25,000
Bigger place $250,000
upgrade to new place $250,000
hire mover $5,000
move $0
fix up current place $50,000
2017 prop tax $1,000
give to frenid $0
sign old place $0
sign quit claim deed $25
move him $5,000
post office $30
Total $596,055

What is a word made up of 4 letters, yet is also made up of 3. Sometimes is written with 9 letters, and then with 4. Rarely consists of 6, and never is written with 5.

All right, time to get up and do something. One good idea would be to get gas before Harvey raises prices.

That's a wise suggestion. I just took your advice and paid $2.29/gal.

Gas Buddy says without being a Costco or Sam's member, the cheapest within several miles is $2.449.

Mine was actually less than $2/gal with my 30 cent Kroger discount.

Glad I filled up last night. It's already going up around here. Best price is $2.61. Even Costco is a few cents more.

Forgot to figure in my discount cards. Checking again, there's a Shell at 3.8 miles that's 2.439 less .05 with card.

Likewise.

Should take my sleeping pills soon for what may be my last weekend at the museum, depending on my new work schedule.
