I personally think that men have little or no right to take a stand against abortion rights. It is the one issue that could ruin a candidates chances of winning an election. All women should have the right to choose that path. They should also take better precautions to prevent pregnancy in the first place. I also would never council a woman to have an abortion, But as long as there are orphanages that are crammed full and there are babies dying from starvation banning abortion is absurd. Fortunately for those who feel the need to get one, many states will never make abortion illegal again as well as most civilized nations around the world.

If the midterms do the GOP way, as someone else mentioned, there will quite likely be a bill to ban nationally. Though Biden would veto, nothing stops another attempt at a time when the GOP has both branches. Unless the 3rd, judicial branch, has become less extreme by that time.

Even I don't agree they should be simply on-demand. However, as would be expected they are very rare and most doctors won't do them without a very good reason (ie life-threatening complications to the woman or fetus). Of course by then she has been aware of the pregnancy for several months so would (should!) have terminated it much sooner before there was any brain development, which is the only scientifically verifiable criterion we have to determine it's become a human rather than a small lump of tissue. Someone needs to tell these "heartbeat" politicos that human heart cells can be generated from stem cells and kept beating all on their own in a petri dish with the right medium.

The grotesque late-term poster-sized pictures that abortion opponents flash on street corners these days for shock value don't have any context. Were they done to save the woman's life? Was the fetus dead already anyways? They don't say and frankly I wouldn't believe them if they did for obvious reasons.

As per the CDC "and even fewer (<1.0%) were performed at 21 weeks’ gestation". Less than 1% at 21, and third trimester doesn't start until 27.

Happily we won't get to find out because she was able to go to a neighbouring state. Unfortunately hers has a limit of six weeks, and she was at six weeks and three days. but rules are rules doncha know becuz freedumb, or something.
