I know it says "Boinc not running" but what it is discussing is the screen saver not loading.

I KNOW this MUST b a MS interdiction. Have the Creator's Update BUT resolved all THOSE "issues".

Tonite - Fri 6/16 - it suddenly dashed into my brain/mind my SS isnt working - the intended way. It worked all day, up to my revelation.

I had changed NOTHING, i.e., under LOCKSCREEN SETTINGS ==> SS Settings. Of course by now, any relation to previous values is offset by my incompetence.

In a nutshell, after the appropriate time - 1 min - the SS, well, the screen goes to black, the BOINC logo dances ALL over the monitor, underneath saying "BOINC Screensaver Loading" and that's ALL it EVER says. No elegant, full-color, 3D graph; just "loading".

Can ANYONE puzzle this one out?????????????

And PSE, sum1, what in the wide-wide-world-of-sports is the DIFFERENCE between the BOINC SS and the PROJECT SS?????????????????????

SCREENSAVER PART DEUX

Forgive the xtra post, but I have an update abt my BOINC or SETI@HOME SS, to wit:

NOW I get the "Running Tasks" part/page/portion of the SS; HOWEVER, it displays ONLY 1 task running. I have ALWAYS had 4 tasks running at the same time. Indeed, BOINC Manager, under TASKS, has but a single task running but a full-load of tasks "Ready to Start". My system has 1 Intel GPU plus i7 CPU.

I fiddled with changing my preferences for the SS but nothing changed. I then reapplied my "standard" prefs.

It wd seem, now, the question is why do I not get the graph? Why only 1 task running?

As always if u or any of ur xpert genuises crack this enigma, I will grant u 3 wishes within MY VERY meager powers UNRELATED to computing.

Not anyone here, but all of SETI@Home except the team rooms is publicly accessible for reading without a logon, and Q&A also allows posts without any SETI@Home credit (so that people can ask for assistance), so it is a magnet for both spambots that harvest e-mail addresses and spam posts for external sites.
