Well I got a follow up email asking how my experience was....

Let just say I left a letter in the comment section explaining in detail my frustration with them. The fact that I had to purchase a new PSU was my biggest gripe.

I'll hang onto the old one and attempt RMA again at a latter date but the experience left me with a less than favorable image of their customer service.

Dunno Brent, something is rotten in the state of Denmark on that one, me thinks?

*edit* especially after noticing the seller has 4 feedback... Best of luck! Let us know how it turns out for you.

Feedback of 5, you mean.....all as a buyer, too. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true! Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a pair of new fans for the mentioned card. Definitely something not right, though.

Someone trying to unload some stolen merchandise, I suspect. If I had an extra 10 dollars, I might gamble on it. But I don't, so I won't.

I don't know either, when I first seen it there was 0 sold, 10 available.
Now it's 42 sold and 5 available.
He's got a boat of them it seems.
But a that price it barely covers shipping...
Oh well for <$13 CAD it's worth a try, and eBay is insured anyways.
He hasn't accepted my payment yet.

My guess, auction will be deleted soon, and payments returned. Justa guess.

Yep, timing sucks. My HD7870 is on the fritz and needs to be replaced. Oh well, I will just settle for my R9-380 doing all the work until the cards come back in stock. I may just hold out until the Vega cards are mass released, so I can either get a Vega card or get an RX-580 cheaper than they currently go for. Either way will be a big improvement in GPU power.

LOL.....'twasn't me.
I'm waiting for a possible bargain on a couple of 1080s for the kitties to play with.
Might not happen on the top end cards.

Meow.

You can set up a search on ebay for exactly the Gtx you want "buy right now" as long as you ignore anything under $100 you should get caught by the "fake" listings.

I am seeing prices right about $215-$225 but the brands keep moving around. There are always ones that are higher than that but if you set the search for lowest cost+shipping and "buy it now" (or whatever) you can get daily emails on the topic.

I just bought a near-new gtx 1060 3GB mini for $219 and it shipped today.

And I am just waiting to see if I can shoehorn its power draw into my Dell Optiplex 7010. It turns out that I have a "stock" PS of 275 watts so "in theory" a Gtx 1060 3GB should run. Plus I am "watching" a 300 watt native to the 7010 ebay trying to decide if I should pick it up.

All of which may make shambles of my theory that I overloaded and burned out my "original" 7010 motherboard. Instead maybe it was "feeling old"?
