Seti has no client, it has science applications that run under BOINC. You mean to ask which BOINC version is the latest available for your Linux?
7.6.33 available from LocutusofBorg: https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/boinc
He is the official BOINC maintainer for a lot of Linux distros, so yes, that BOINC can be trusted.
