Those new 1's Grant use less power and have both digital thermometer and thermostat over my 2200-2400W job with it's old analog stuff. ;-)

Cheers.

Those both would be a big plus not to worry to over heat.

I'd do it here if I could vent it right and everyone in the building wouldn't smell it. :-O

G'morning everyone, from a very warm start in the highlands down under.

I hadn't heard of Jacks Creeks Farm until now and I found out that they're only 250km from me Mike, but that's not surprising as there are so many of these places everywhere all over the country. In town there's 2 butcher shops that get the best meat available from the local feed lot down the road and it's top quality (I'm probably a bit bias, but I reckon that highland beef tastes better than that that they breed down on the lower slopes and plains).

That's the thing with those new 1's Grant, you don't have to be around while they're doing their thing whereas mine needs a person around while it does its thing just in case of possible analog problems happening.

Anyhow, Beer O'clock is still 4.5hrs away and it'll be a race to see what gets here 1st, LLB or the storms that are heading this way.

Cheers.

I tried some mail order steaks once(not from the place mentioned), and I was not impressed.

I'm not sold on mail order meat myself Gordon mainly due to not knowing what conditions the meat went through during transport, but with the availability of so much good fresh meat around here I thankfully don't have to worry about it myself.

Cheers.

I did it last year and i can tell you my kids and me and my wife included said we never had such famous steaks.
It costs a lot but its worth every penny.
On our coast to coast road trip last year i had steak in many states and most of them were very good but those still were a little better.
Yes i had steak every day during our 3 week trip.

I'm curious Mike, how do they send the steaks and how long do they take to get from Oz to Germany?

I was given an order when I moved in from my GF, a well known meat company that sent me a bunch of different cuts. So one night I took 2 nice looking steaks to my GF's house to cook on the grill and they soooo tough.
I called the company and they said they would send me another order no charge.
I told them no thanks I'll do without. I think it was beef alright but some tough old bull. :-(
Omaha Gordon

Wiggo I do have a Nu-wave burner with execellent heat control to work with if I want 180ºF it will take it there and hold it at that temp. any temp from 110F to 475F .

Went today to a Christmas party here in the complex ham and all the fixin's what a spread they put on but only one thing missing NO BEER: LOL So I had to settle for Coffee black. :-O

Tonight, the little microbrewery near me was out of my favorite, their nitro porter, so I did a taste test on their "Winter Remedy", and had them fill up my growler with it, instead. It's a brown ale with a spiced chai infusion. Smells like a gingerbread cookie, and has a nice smooth taste:

G'morning everyone, from a warm Xmas Eve down under.

Well I'm just finishing up a few odd jobs before Beer O'clock (only 2hrs away now) so I'm free to just party for a few days.

Merry Xmas everybody and I hope that you all have a fantastic day and your beers stay cold.

Cheers.
