I don't think that the religion - as a whole - makes any promise like that. It seems to be a tiny minority fringe that picks out that single detail, and uses it to recruit disaffected youth who are strangers to the mainstream observance of the core religion.

I was shopping in Newport today and all the shops had notices that they would be observing a minutes silence for the victims of the Manchester bomb attack at 11 am

I was in Sainsburys at 11 am and the whole shop went quiet.

I was hoping this was repeated across the country.
