I am assuming you have no work units.

According to the Bonic FAQ there is supposed to be some "Bonic dialog" you can copy your Proxy information into. If no one else has a better idea I would first collect all your Proxy information as described in the FAQ ( https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Advanced_FAQ ) and then un-install bonic and during the re-install of bonic see if it offers a place to input the Proxy information.

HTH,
Tom

Setup of communications happens through BOINC Manager, not through the installer. So uninstaller BOINC and reinstalling won't have an option for proxies, but BOINC Manager->Options->Other options... will have the proxy setup tabs, with more minute setup possibilities through the core client configuration file cc_config.xml (documentation of that via cc_config.xml -> options, see <proxy_info>)

Now Tom, why do you keep calling BOINC Bonic? Even when everyone around you calls it by its correct name?
Are you trying to get its name changed so it suits you? Do you call Windows Widnows, Linux Liunx? If not, then why treat BOINC this way?

So that is where the proxy was! I just couldn't find it!

As for BOINC vs. Bionic, I can only blame my spelling checker. ;) opps I meant my misspelled Bonic.... Its one of the reasons I don't claim to be "detailed oriented" is I can't spell....
