Picked up a few WUs, but will still be out of GPU work in the next couple of hours.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger...
Most of these Hosts are Empty, https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_hosts.php
The only Host of mine getting work was the one with only 2 GPUs. I made a folder swap to see if that machine would keep getting work under a different Host ID.
Look at that, it just picked up 4 New tasks where it wasn't getting any to speak of in the other machine, https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7769537

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

It only received those four then stopped again. So....I waited until it was about to report and then Stopped BOINC. Waited a dozen or so seconds and Started BOINC. Yes! a few dozen new tasks.
The other machines still aren't getting squat.

And the In progress has dropped to it's lowest levels in a long time (even allowing for some of the more extended outages), so it could be a rough recovery once things get going again.

EDIT- and the forums are still extremely variable in their response times; checking out Tasks even more so.

Ever since the December Application preferences issue (still to be resolved) that's pretty much been the norm. The machines that are slower & do the least work are able to get it. The machines that process the most work and are in the greatest need of work just can't get it. And if they do, it's maybe only a quarter of the times the slower machine gets allocated work, and maybe half the WUs (at best) on a given request.

Edit: things could be on the improve I noticed the ready to send his dropped to about 680 K it was around 712,000 before

Some people picked up some work, unfortunately my i7 isn't one of those lucky systems.

EDIT- the rate of decline for In progress work did slow down for a short while, but it appears to be dropping at it's earlier rate again.
Just a temporary pause on it's way down.

. . I am getting absolutely NO new work at all ...

Nope. Not even a whisper of work. I'm giving my main machine a rest today.... office sounds strange without that monster crunching away in the background.

. . A late update ... One machine (Hummingbird) is getting some few WUs in dribs and drabs for the GPU now but zero CPU tasks. Almost inclined to turn it off ........

Something is wrong with the scheduler - there's over 700,000 wu's in the queue and I'm not getting any, on any of the three computers
tried so far. (Multiple requests at varying times, too, so it's not the limited queue in the sched program itself...) Possibly a "boot in the bum"
is called for...

Received a bunch of 49 tasks 45 minutes ago...now we're back to "no tasks avaiable". With a relatively slow machine, I am in no danger of running out of work, the dribs and drabs coming in keep my cache fairly on the safe side (although lower than normal).

Have gotten big dumps of work for 4/5 of the crunchers here in the last few minutes, up from 0/5 20 minutes or so ago. 5th box still begging ...

Alas, my cats have very few management skills. They may be angels with fur, but manage only themselves.. ;-)

Same here, no GPU tasks on my linux host and only a few CPU left.

It`s been somewhat a problem keeping a full cache since I installed linux some10 days ago, it`s so much faster. The cache has often been low but it`s the first time I`ve seen no GPU at all.

KIttyman's avatar is still up, so he is not on vacation, and his computers show they have reported today.

Yeah, but it's getting skinny here on #5:) If it wasn't still crunching on 14 Einsteins, would be pretty dry ...

You really have to wonder just what besides availability of tasks the scheduler looks at before delivering a "no tasks available" response?
Gotta be something along the lines of
Are there tasks ? (y/n)
Is this a "deserving" host (y/n, why)
Do I have time to deliver tasks right now (y/n, why)

Seems to be catching up, slowly. I'm now 100% on all 5, as well.
