A native of California I can tell you that most people are not rich playboys with too much pocket change. We have a huge homeless problem and even those with jobs are now spending nearly 1/2 of their income on housing alone. I was always proud of the fact that so much innovation came out of this state. Not just computers and software but also innovations in laws and social programs. But we are an example of what the rest of the nation is becoming. There is too much wealth held by too few. Apartments and rental housing is owned by investment trusts that keep raising rents. As rents rise so does the investment value of real estate making it less and less affordable.
California has it's rich and its looney. It's a picture of the future.
Just my 2 cents

Oh and rocket man will not even get above the local mountains. He would have a better view if he just hiked.

I've had both, one broken lower left leg, and 3 dislocations, one was audible, they still hurt to high heaven at times, or is that to low hell? I can't quite decide.

The title of this thread just about sums up what I'm about to post !!!

I have an old Nokia 6020 mobile hone. Ok Ok you can stop laughing now. It's cheap and cheerful and does what I want OK?

But it has an enhancement connector at the bottom, and I bought a genuine Nokia CA42 cable for it. But when I plug it in the screen says "enhancement not supported".

Now what? is there a software update to support the cable?

I assume you are trying to connect to a PC?

If so I assume you are running the Nokia PC Suite.

Did the cable come with a driver CD, I know this sounds odd but apparently the 6020 connector is serial and needs to have software to work over USB.

I found a CA42 driver CD but it was already installed . Downloaded latest Nokia suite and Nokia PC suite, but enhancement cable not supported despite the cable socket. Went through this loop over 18 months ago. Very old phone with old s/w and no way to update it. Just want to download and save the contacts directory.

Yes I know what everyone will say, use your iPhone 4S and you can do all that, which I can, but I prefer the Nokia. My idiosyncrasy, up to me to live with it and not moan about it :-)

Still a PITA though ! Altogether now,1, 2, 3, Bah Humbug!

Apparently reports from some users who had this problem suggest that many "Nokia" cables are just fakes.

Others have said that uninstalling, the drivers and the Nokia PC suite, then re-install drivers first then Nokia PC suite works.

I had a Nokia 6310i for work back in 2003 and with PC suite it worked perfectly for back up. The 6020 is about the same era, so no idea why it doesn't work.

You are not alone with this problem.
