Ohio woman calls 911 saying, 'I have a boa constrictor stuck to my face'

An Ohio woman called 911 Thursday after a 5-foot-6-inch boa constrictor she had rescued wrapped itself around her face and began biting her nose.

The victim, a 45-year-old woman of Sheffield Lake, which is about 10 miles west of Cleveland, called authorities after one of the two boa constrictors she rescued the previous day had attacked her. The recording of her 911 call was released.

“I have a boa constrictor stuck to my face,” the woman yelled.

“Ma’am you have what?” the 911 dispatcher asked.

“Boa constrictor,” the woman repeated. “Please hurry. He’s biting my nose.”

Unfortunately, rescue workers had to kill the snake to remove it.

It's that time of year again to guess what "deep fried" food will be the big hit at the State Fair of Texas!

What’s a Fat Smooth? Hint: It’s at the State Fair of Texas, and it’s fried

Deep Fried Fruit Loops? Fried Texas Dirt? Fat Smooth? Must be time to think about the State Fair of Texas.

The fair released its annual list of semifinalists Friday for the Big Tex Choice Awards, and as usual, there’s plenty to shake your head over — or salivate over, depending on your tastes. The contest started in mid-July with 47 entrants, according to a release from fair officials.

Judges will continue whittling down entrants till they come up with the 10 finalists that will compete at this year’s awards, which are open to the public and will take place at 2 p.m. Aug. 27 in the Tower Building at Fair Park.

EDIT -- for the inquisitive minds that want to know what "The Fat Smooth" is...
“The Fat Smooth” name doesn’t quite capture the lip-licking lusciousness that’s fried into this concoction: three delicious Belgian mini cream puffs on a skewer, dipped in Cafe du Monde beignet batter, then fried and dusted in powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce.

One way to get rural broadband

I feel for Him, $44.99 for 100/10 internet is what I get from Charter Spectrum, a promo price, normally $64.99 a month, though the speed is usually at or near 118/12, and yes where I live is very rural, not to mention very hot too...

His £35 is almost $46 a month really, but it could have been worse, He could've gotten internet through Virgin Mobile, very expensive, and dead slow at 1/1M.

Today after more than a year i have been informed that all the pictures my wife took during our coast to coast road trip last year are destroyed.
I put the SD card in my cell phone last year to copy them but suddenly the card started smoking.
So i tried a data recovery company and payed $750 to recover them.
Sometimes Mike can be extremely stupid.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I lost a set from a trip once too. So I set up some automatic protections.
When I plug my camera into my PC it automatically downloads to DropBox. When I get close to my macbook, it automatically uploads to my Apple cloud account.
Those work regardless of any action I take. Manually, I download, sort, and store on my hard drive which is backed up daily. I am at about 125 GB of photos.

Well this sucks, My car battery is DEAD, $114.99(500CCA) @ O'Reilly, @ Walmart $94.83(550CCA), all are before Sales tax, O'Reilly will deliver, but only for the Optima Red Top battery @ $218.99(720CCA), also before 8% sales tax, and the Red is out of My price range, I can't pay for that, not this month, at most I can raise $113.38 on the 1st, though it won't show up on a credit card for about 3-4 working days, lovely...

So no shopping for food, not until I can get a New battery in the car on the 1st of August...

Oh and nothing in the car works, I had to unlock the door with My key, no lights work.

I better find that jump starter and plug it in, then I should be able to move once that is charged fully.

There goes doing the Smog Test this month, My Car has to be Registered($98.00) on or before Sept 8th and this year requires the car to be smogged... For about $50.00...

Everstart Plus 58-3 @ Walmart, 1999 Ford Escort ZX2 https://www.battfinder.com/?search_redirect=true

For Walmart that's $102.43, I've got the Stanley emergency battery being charged up, that may take a while, as that battery never holds a charge for long...

The manual says 1-2 hours, since I did not know I had to keep this Stanley Jump-Start System plugged in when not being used to jump start a car, It may take longer to charge, if the battery within will do so at all, all I can do is wait and see. And yes I had read what little came with this after I'd brought this home from Walmart, years ago...

As the battery within the Stanley is not charged yet.

Ok, can you run that by Me again, I think I know what you mean, but bing can't.

So you think the Stanley's battery needs to be replaced too?

Great, sigh...

I don't know when I can do that...

And the battery has been charging for 3 hours...

Remove the g from grooted for a more precise meaning Vic, it is rhyming slang.

= dead.

Well when I get a new motorcycle battery in the Stanley, I have a place to plug the charger into, under the kitchen sink, 3 hours, I press Status, nothing, all 3 leds are dark, I will try overnight, just to be sure, but that means I will need to get a neighbor to jump start My car with His car, sigh.

Troubles, troubles...

Lots of bad timing too.

I still need to do some shopping on the 1st, or I am going to have a problem in the bathroom.

If I used My debit card I'd be short by $15.40 of buying the battery for the car, it would come from the $70 I set aside, well I'm busted, I can either buy food or a battery, My bill at Food4Less may be $141.65 total, Grace uses $26.55 of that for just Her food, I'm stuck...

Possibly, the temp has been 108F for a while, now I'm not sure what to do, since I don't have enough income for both a new car battery and food...

Food $141.65
Battery $102.43
Rent bill(estimated only) $451.89

I just don't get enough...
