That's not scary, though I've only seen dynamite in pics, since commercial explosives are highly regulated, since they are dangerous...

This is scary... That's "Little Boy"...

And B53 of course!

Deployed on Strategic Air Command bombers, the B53, with a yield of 9 megatons, was the most powerful weapon in the U.S. nuclear arsenal after the last B41 nuclear bombs were retired in 1976.

That's not scary,

Really?
Even though if those were actually explosives it would be more than enough to level a reasonable sized house?

The fact is the person that bought it and then left it sitting unwrapped or boxed in plain view in the car is an idiot.

since commercial explosives are highly regulated, since they are dangerous...

And still around 30 thefts each year of varying amounts.

Especially because several other people have also been prosecuted for the very same mass produced novelty clock.

As to how much bang, the six sticks there would do more than just level it, knocking some substantial holes in the walls of buildings facing the blast, likely causing them to collapse as well.

dead it dead. If you are able to see the dynamite in the back seat of a car, you are dead if it goes off. If little boy goes off at the same range, you are just as dead, along with a handful of your friends and all your neighbors.

At ground zero, some people became mere shadow images, burned into either rock or concrete, otherwise people were vaporized, but that's the power of an A-Bomb, or Nuke as they're called today.

Though cavemen knew what the ultimate weapon is, and it wasn't a nuke, it was a rock dropped from space, one large enough, can wipe out whole species, or even incinerate every living thing on a planet. Venus anyone? Since there is no Planet B in this solar system.

So you are saying you fear rocks more than explosives?

Not precisely, it's the kinetic energy release upon impact, makes a nuke look amateurish...

When something hits the earth, if the impact is large enough, it can send flaming debris back into the atmosphere to rain down on other areas of the planet, since the debris was not able to achieve escape velocity, setting off fires almost everywhere...

Top politicians' first ladies in a picture - one detail makes the Internet react.

They try to minimize the nuclear material freely available around the world.
It's the space rock that might have your name on it that is the scary thing. How do you minimize the sometimes undetected impacter?

BA's computer system crashes world wide on Bank Holiday weekend

The BBC's Phillip Norton is at Rome International airport, where he has been waiting to fly to London. He said BA staff were unable to say how long delays would be, telling him "all flights are grounded around the world".
BBC
From the same BBC link (which has been updated several times):

There have been suggestions that an overnight database upgrade caused this computer crash but it's not been confirmed.

The GMB union says the problem could have been avoided if BA hadn't made hundreds of IT staff redundant and outsourced their jobs to India at the end of last year.

Yes, the union has a big axe to grind, but still, people will want to know if BA made its IT systems more vulnerable by scaling back computer support to save money.
"We're still awaiting an explanation."

No, Gauthier Destenay from Luxembourg is married to Xavier Bettel, the world's only homosexual government chief since 2015.

Well, that certainly would not have helped would it? If it was an overnight database upgrade that screwed up, which idiot decided to do it over a Bank Holiday weekend? Traditionally the busiest time of the year. Serious questions to be answered.
Our DB vendor just told us of a zero day in the wild and rushed a patch out, with us at critical attack level it must be put in place now. They assured us that the patch can be laid on a running DB without disruption.
<ed>Now it seems more like the janitor unplugged the data center to plug in the floor polisher!

Wow, 15 found a gun, I know, lets rob somebody!
http://mynewsla.com/crime/2017/05/27/teen-robbers-shot-by-fed-agent-in-arcadia-15-year-old-dies/?google_editors_picks=true
One of two teenage robbery suspects shot and wounded by an off-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer — who authorities said was defending himself against attackers — died Saturday an area hospital.

The 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at 5:34 a.m., the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported.

A 14-year-old boy who was also struck by gunfire remained at an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third teenage suspect, a 14-year-old boy, was in custody following the incident, which was reported at 8:13 p.m. Friday near First Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, according to Deputy Caroline Rodriguez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is investigating the shooting.
