During the weekend, the sun rose over the horizon in Sweden's northernmost village, Keinovuopio, where it will last until mid July.

The true meaning of 42

3. On page 42 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Harry discovers he's a wizard. A truly silly connection, since Harry wasn't written until years later.

6. The Doctor Who episode entitled "42" lasts for 42 minutes. Even sillier for the same reason. Also, it was named 42 as an homage to Adams and The Answer (and also to "24"). Finally, it's not true: the episode is 45 minutes long. The action lasts for 42 minutes, but that was obviously written to fit the title.

8. The marine battalion 42 Commando insists that it be known as "Four two, Sir!" So?

12. Toy Story character Buzz Lightyear's spaceship is named 42. I'm not going to look it up, but I bet that's another tribute to Adams.

13. Fox Mulder's apartment in the US TV series The X Files was number 42. Likewise.

15. The office of Google's chief executive Eric Schmidt is called Building 42 of the firm's San Francisco complex. I wouldn't be surprised if that applies here too.

29. The element molybdenum has the atomic number 42 and is also the 42nd most common element in the universe. That one I could almost believe to have a subconscious connection that even Adams wasn't aware of (possibly as part of the 10 million year program).

32. In the Book of Revelation, it is prophesised that the beast will hold dominion over the earth for 42 months. I'd like to interpret this as the length of the Trump presidency.

34. When the growing numbers of Large Hadron Collider scientists acquired more office space recently, they named their new complex Building 42. Probably another tribute.

36. 42 is the favourite number of Dr House, the American television doctor played by Hugh Laurie. Likewise?

38. In an episode of The Simpsons, police chief Wiggum wakes up to a question aimed at him and replies "42". Almost certainly likewise.

40. There are 42 principles of Ma'at, the ancient Egyptian goddess – and concept – of physical and moral law, order and truth. If #29 is part of the 10MYP, then this probably is too.

41. Mungo Jerry's 1970 hit "In the Summertime", written by Ray Dorset, has a tempo of 42 beats per minute. Adams was a big music fan. Maybe another subconscious influence.

42. The band Level 42 chose their name in recognition of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and not – as is often repeated – after the world's tallest car park. Self-evident.

The whole thing is pretty silly... unless you think the 10MYP is real, or perhaps the higher-level paranoia source about which Arthur wonders and Slartibartfast doesn't care.

Looks like I lucked out on the number 42, why?

Addresses here goes beyond A42, the B side goes to B35 only, mines A35, drat, and My car has 1040 on it, that's sort of closer, but no cigar.

1040, almost everyones favorite number at tax time, how'd I get that lucky? Dumb luck.

Woman arrested after buying 'fake bomb clock' at garage sale for $1

SHORT PUMP, Va. (AP) -- A Virginia woman accused of having a fake explosive device that set off a bomb scare in a grocery store parking lot says the object was a novelty alarm clock she bought at a garage sale.

Daphne Page was arrested Friday after someone spotted the device in the back seat of her car in Short Pump. Authorities used a robot to remove the object from the vehicle.

Page was charged with the manufacture, possession or use of explosives. The statute that includes the manufacture and possession of hoax devices.

The 52-year-old told The Richmond-Times Dispatch that the object was a clock designed to look like a bundle of dynamite that she bought for $1. She said she didn't realize it would scare people, calling it an "obvious fake."

Cars Drive Into Wet Concrete In Lakeview, And It Doesn't End Well
Two separate drivers on two separate days this week were literally stopped in their tracks after they drove into wet cement on the Southport Corridor.

... Once complete, the trench was filled with concrete. And it appears some Lakeview drivers were too impatient to wait for the sludgy mixture to dry before giving it a test drive this week.

Not so obvious if you have never seen dynamite. Besides who is going to stick around and inspect to make sure?

Wow, seems even the web hosting company thinks it real.

Oh dear.
Once I was with my nephew at a mall because he wanted a toy gun.
For some reason he wanted me to carry that when we bought it.
At the same moment a politician was passing by with her kids.

I wonder what would happen if the police turned up.
