Hi, I am trying to run the task Seti@Home v8, but it says in status: GPU Suspended - Computer in Use. What exactly do i have to do to get it to work?

By default BOINC will run tasks in the periods of time when your computer is turned on, but not being used. From memory "not being used" meas no mouse or keyboard activity for 3 minutes, and moving the mouse to open a window is taken as "in use". Aborting tasks will not help BOINC establish the pattern it requires to learn the performance of your computer.

If you want to, you can go into the "activity" and toggle either the cpu and/or the gpu to "always run". Or you can set the cpu to run only if the system load is below say 30% under the "options -> computing preferences".

If you have both the cpu and gpu "always running" it may cause your screen/mouse/keyboard to respond more slowly. There are tuning parameters that may help with that if it does become an issue.

Not normally as in "sleep mode" all processing is suspended.

Setihome will not load. The bionic logo comes up than disappears. Suggestions?

It is due to the Windows 10 Creator edition, it breaks the BOINC screensaver,

See this thread https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=81274

You have 2 choices, 1) turn off the screensaver and BOINC will run SETI@Home just with no graphics.

2) Revert to the previous version of Windows 10 and the screensaver will be restored. This is the advice Microsoft have given for any problems with the Creator Edition
