How much longer before we can legalized over-the-counter recreational opioids, amphetamines and barbiturates? Although, the problem I see here is we'll begin losing democrat voters through darwinism.

The problem is not between legalization and criminalization.
It is that there is a percentage of the human race. Will always 'drift' towards the use of "opioids, amphetamines and barbiturates". Or whatever the 'Drugs of Choice' are available throughout history.

True. I think I read somewhere that it is about 10% of the human population that are addicted to some form of chemical substances.

So, just seeing if I understand:

Legalizing something so that people can do it = Centralized all-powerful government control
Criminalizing something so that people are convicted and put in jail for it = Freedom?

That's some sterling "logic" there, Guy. This sort of thinking may be a side effect of that dangerous brain-damaging, legalized, all-powerful-centralized government-regulated drug called alcohol... you should steer clear of that stuff as if you are using it, it may have the same effect you think cannabis does.

You have it exactly Mr. Kevvy!

Because if it wasn't the ACLU would be good because they fight to legalize things and oppose centralized all-powerful government control.
Criminalizing things and making prison sentences longer panders to corrections officer unions and makes them stronger letting them take control of the government!

Again, the Gub'ment can't control those who 'choose to use' without control of the source. Grow ur own and there's no control by the feds. 😁

If Legalized.

The Massive Federal and State Regulating Authorities, in addition to the IRS, will control all. As they always have.

Try to control maybe.

Ha hah!

When they 'attach' all your Bank Accounts....

When they garnish your paycheck...

When they stop all your credit cards...

As one can see. Regulatory Control is...

That is only if you are stupid and get caught. You can't regulate and or control something you can't find. Sorry we are not a police state just yet.

Consumers will by the 100% Certified, 100% Inspected, et al Product.

Since the consumers do not care about the Mom and Pop. They will be out of business.

Just like they don't buy moonshine whisky.

A friend of mine's father was a Police officer.
He made moonshine at his home.
Where?
On top of the Police station:)
Been there once and he gave us that as a meal drink together with some herrings.

When was the last time you, or anyone else you know. Bought beer from an unregulated person. 'Processing' beer in their backyard?

Clyde, 2 weeks ago I was given several quarts of home brewed beer. It was unregulated, not taxed and quite good.

Even in the most heavily law regulated countries in the world like Sweden and Finland it's OK to make your own wine and beer.

One of the Alehouses around here hosts a home brew competition. I guess there are places where it is happening and places where it doesn't.

I think smoking is forbidden in those places.
Funny.
The Van Gogh Museum has one of the world’s finest collections of French fin-de-siècle prints.

But Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a Frenchman.
OK Van Gogh lived Down in France:)

I've not been, but I have friends from there who visited the U.S. for the first time a few years ago, and when I told them we'd be going in a coffee shop, their eyes widened and they said they didn't know we had such things. ;~)
