Sometimes in astronomy and physics, one can be forgiven for losing track of a story or narrative due to the over whelming math and formulas that are quoted.
I found it rather refreshing that Chris Glein, a member of the Cassini team, when pressed by a reporter during the conference the other day on energy or calories — they had counted......responded with a great unscientific answer....."The plume chemistry we've seen is roughly equivalent to 300 pizzas per hour."

Go figure....:-)

The invention of Pizza is the most best thing that ever happened to humanity.

Fruits don't belong on a Pizza. Hawaiian pizza as it's called. Disgusting.
In February 2017, the president of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, reportedly told a group of high school students during a Q&A that he was fundamentally opposed to pineapple on pizza. He added that, if he could, he would ban pineapple as a pizza topping. His off-the-cuff remark generated a flurry of media coverage and inspired lovers and haters of Hawaiian pizza to express their opinions on social media.[13] Panopoulis, long retired from the restaurant business was called upon by some media outlets to defend his creation.

Reminds me of Ray Kroc's famous invention - the hula burger.

Sorry. I know this thread is supposed to about astrophysics and pizza.

It’s interesting to see the development of food like pizza. Seems that each culture has developed a “common man’s” food. I call it that because it is a food that was developed over time for the masses. Something is quick, with good taste and it provided high carbs (energy) with something to provide taste.
The Italian’s developed pizza.
Wheat (Bread) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese.
In the southwest US and Northern Mexico there is the Tamale.
Corn (bread) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese.
European Americans developed the Sandwich,
Wheat (bread) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese
Asian development Po
Rice (noodles) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese
Russian have the pierogi
Wheat (bread) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese
The UK, (English/Irish/Scotts) developed the Pasti (Pasty)
Wheat (bread) with veggies and/or meat and/or cheese

Maybe the Martians are on strike? ;)

Seriously according to the wiki, the Mars bar in the US was discontinued in 2002, then in 2010 sold only in Walmart stores, then in 2011 the Mars bar was discontinued again.
