I just installed Boinc v 7.6.34
running MacOS Sierra v 10.12.4

The SETI@home screensaver ran a few time but will not, and has not run
no matter what I do.

I have twice set the seti@home preferences and followed the instructions I found on this site.
But I cannot get it to run.

I'm sure there is a solution.

Seti's screen saver application is only sent along with tasks that run on the CPU, not on the GPU.
According to your task list here @ Seti, you run work solely on the built-in Intel GPU, which causes this. If you want to see the Seti screen saver, you'll have to allow work to run on the CPU.
