I saw that blizzard in motion on the national radar. Quite a doozy!

Sleeting here, at the moment. No relation to your snowstorm.

I saw that blizzard in motion on the national radar. Quite a doozy!

Sleeting here, at the moment. No relation to your snowstorm.

I spent several hours this morning clearing away enough to get out to go to work.
Had to use an ice chisel and some kitty litter to get the car off of the ice it was stuck on from Saturday night.
But, I conquered enough to get out and about again.
It was the second biggest snowstorm on record in Green Bay, at about 24 inches.
Biggest one on record was 29 inches from back in 1888.
Glad it's done with!

Glad you and the Kitties are safe Mark.
That sounds like too much early morning exercise, take it easy

Thanks, Rob.
Plenty of food for me and kibble for the kitties in the house if I had to ride it out longer.
But all clear now.

Back in 1965 a few weeks before New Years our highway supervisor asked me if he needed a driver if I would work for them. I said sure. New years eve we got dumped 36 inches of snow and then the wind started to blow.
we worked 72 hours and I was a Zombie , got 3 hours sleep and he was calling me back in. I said no way, I need about 5 more hours. I wasn't driving but they had me as a wing man. we had drifts up to 10 feet.

rain fall is 4 inches so far this month
temp 50ºF
slight chance of showers today

This has been quite a Patriots' Day -- two inches of rain has fallen, and is still coming down.

For those of you in "colder climates" here is my kitchen window thermometer a few minutes ago.

It does record a couple of degrees high but seems like summer has come to south London (in April?)

I'd better get an order in for more coal to be delivered in July and August....

This has been the rainiest Derby, ever! It's been raining all day. ~2 inches on my rain gauge. The weather forecasters did not predict this. I think they were afraid to because they didn't want to scare people away from going to the track since it's such a big deal here in Louisville.

We kicked off P.O.E.T.S. Day here in the highlands down under at 5C (felt like 0C), but the wind didn't let any frost form, and it's now up to 7C as the wind picks up speed (still feels like 0C) as we head for an expected max of 12C.

It is sunny at least.

Cheers.

We're supposed to get some rain toward Wednesday from Subtropical Storm Alberto that's brewing down in the Gulf of Mexico.
