In alignment with another thread here..............

I still very fondly remember my friend Richard...AKA Dr. CETI.
And his caretaker Joanne.

We had many nice conversations and jousts with each other.

You know you are getting old when most of the people in the contacts list in your cell phone have passed on.
And then you realize how long you've had the cell phone.

It's good when you don't have to keep a list of lawyers up to date.

And I suppose you are getting old when a song like this just makes your chestnuts tingle.

I think the reason I love that song so much is the good bass singer microphone and the way it was mixed. Bass singers are highly underrated, and seldom are given this much attention when recorded.
Very few vocal groups give the bass singer this much input into the final mix.

If you have some time and really love cats, I have something I'd love to share with you.
A wonderful bit I found on YouTube.

Share the lives of a litter of 7 kittens from hours after they were born to 10 weeks of age, day by day!

And not just any kittens, this is a litter of Maine Coon kittens born to a very beautiful Maine Coon mama kitty.

Lori has had Maine Coon cats, and has 4 of them now, so I have come to absolutely love the breed. But I have never before seen them through these early stages of their development.

It's a 1:50:09 long adventure. You could fast forward through some of it, but you would miss some of the captions that the film's creator, Robert Sijka, has added throughout with informational bits about the kittens and their growth and progression. And later, about their characters.

Very well filmed and edited, with a nice soundtrack. He put a LOT of love and time and work into this effort.

As the kittens come of age and their personalities start to show, be prepared for some major cuteness overload....LOL! It's a delightful adventure with my favorite breed of domestic cat on the planet. An amazing display of sheer kitty-katness. I found it nothing short of captivating and heartwarming from beginning to end.
I hope that some of you may find it so as well.

Kitty approved for all ages.

Meow

Been a while, but I finally had to speak up.

I have to be true to my own truthful thoughts.

I am still nursing my failing Purrball kitty, now almost 20yo.
Still puts her paws on me and clings to me with all the life she has left every night.
I never had a more loving kitty kat.

Meows for nows.

It can really be hard when they reach the end of life. Hang in there. Be glad for the time you have had and not the loss.

It will be an unbelievable friendship she and I have had.
20 years in kitty years?
A lifetime shared with me.
She has a few more days or months to share, I hope.
Or maybe tonight shall be her last.
l never know.
But at least every night so far, when I lay myself to rest, she shall be there to share her kitty dreams with me.
And always has. What more could a man ask for from a kind, loving, companion animal?
I love her so much.............................

Meowsa, 20 years and still purring!

Definitely a very special kitty.

Hopefully Purrball lasts a lot longer.

Purrball is still hanging in there.
Still loves me as much as any kitty on earth could possibly do so.
She is still up and about and using the litterbox like a good kitty should.
And she is still eating well, although she has a preference for her various treats more than just your average kibbles....LOL. But her Temptations treats do have full nutrition, so if that's what she wants, that's what she gets.

Meows from Purrball.
