Well, as no surprise to me, I already had to ride shotgun on one of my meds orders. The escitalopram was increased from 10mg to 20mg. They were going to fill it with double the quantity of 10mg tablets. Thing is, I had already asked about the price a while back and the 20mg tabs are a LOT less expensive. Probably much more common. So, they will fill it correctly with the 20mg dose. Still waiting for the train wreck on the Modafinil scrip. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Knowing him he'll be too busy chatting up the hairdresser :-))) She's a doll. But quite married, Chris. It is quite nice to be pampered like that though. Part of the price of admission. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

24 hours from now I should be well on my way to becoming the raven-haired kittyman. Don't think it should be a problem. It's the bleaching it blonde that is hard on hair. The dyeing, not so much. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Well, for a half day, it was a bit of a rough one. Mouth and face were not too happy today. Made it through though. Time to settle in for the night and rest up. Have to pick up a scrip for one last batch of Norco tomorrow. Then I should be able to handle it from there unless something really goes south. I am looking forward to the big day tomorrow! Bye bye blondie! LOL. Black is the new blonde. Meow meow meow!! At least that should bring a smile to my face! I have always loved jet black shiny hair, and if it looks half as good on me as my expectations are, I shall be quite pleased. And whilst I was working, one prescription seems straightened out. But the expensive one is borked, as I suspected it would be. So later tomorrow I'll be kept busy trying to get that one fixed too. Will have to contact the doctor to get the scrip rewritten per my ignored instructions, contact the pharmacy, contact the health insurance company, wade through the BS, apply pressure where needed. Oh well, I guess I was expecting that it would be a mess and nobody let me down on that accord. But at least my meds are keeping my attitude shored up through it all. Much better than I was prone to do in the past. Meow! "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Oh gawd, what are we letting ourselves in for :-))) LOL..... Will the clocks stop? Is the world ready for it? Are the kitties ready for it? At least I am. Should still be sleeping. But the anticipation is building......... Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

And I do have another little project for later on. Have to rewire a fixture in the bathroom to convert it from a florescent tube to a LED replacement. Have to bypass the ballast. Should not be too hard, I did the larger two fixtures last week. Those LED replacements are great! Use about half the wattage or less, with lots and lots of 6000k bright white light. Much better for my aging eyes. Meow! "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

APB - Black hair alert - go to Defcon 2 - approach suspect with caution. LOL..... I suppose I AM on that list of 'the usual suspects'. Round 'em up, Danno. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

.... and counting ...... And I am guessing the process will take at least 1-1/2 to 2 hours minimum. Gonna need some soak cycle to let the dye penetrate what has been bleached out. Yes, I guess I am gonna go soak my head........................................ "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

And it's about that time. Lori is still not sold on the concept....LOL. She simple said........."You're on your own on this one. You're going to have to live with it." Meaning she knows she can't stop me, but isn't really approving of it either. Oh well, as they say. I've been in tougher jams. I'm off to see the Wizard................................................................................ "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Will it be more, Alice Cooper than, Joan Jett? Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

OK......the moment you have all been waiting for. Well, at least I have. Not Alice Cooper or Joan Jett just yet. It's only grown out from a 1/2" buzz cut since early this year. Not enough to really style much yet. Maybe start a little bit in 6 weeks when I get the first retouch done. It's gotta get a bit longer and thicker, which my stylist said it should do now that I am not damaging it with bleach anymore. Then she can start to take some bites out of it here and there to start my JJ shag look.. In fact, she said the dye actually adds something back to the hair. And it also will cost me a lot less than maintaining the blonde bit because from here on out, it's a one step process to re-dye it. She did get it very black for me. Quite the contrast when I walk into the bathroom and look in the mirror!! It took 2-1/2 hours and 3 dye stages. 1st stage it ended up an Irish carrot top. 2nd stage got it to a dark rich reddish brown. 3rd stage had to soak in for 45 minutes and got it to the black that I ended up with. I LIKE IT!!! A stark change for me or anybody who already knows me for sure, but nobody in the general public is gonna think I have a side job in a freak show. Unless I start to add the makeup touches like white lipstick and some mascara. With the hair this black, I COULD get quite a goth look going on. Hmmmmmmmmm. Maybe................NOT!..............LOL. Please let me know what you think. Even if you don't like it. It is your opinion and is not going to change my enjoyment of it, so feel free to comment. I am quite satisfied with the result after making the decision and waiting to have it done. It really turned out as nice as I had hoped for. No let down whatsoever. Very black and shiny. The styling shall be a work in process as I get more hair for my stylist to work with. And my personal opinion is that it takes a few more years off of my 60yo appearance. So, without further ado, here you have it....................................................... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'M BACK IN BLACK.................... Well, it has potential. Maybe wear it more forward at the front, I think. Longer sides, thinned and a bit more styling - then you'll be about there. As you say, you need more length to work with (now, now, titter ye not!), so, yes, work in progress. Actually, maybe more Gary Numan than Alice Cooper. A shaggy pixie cut is not an easy one to do - a few friends have had them in the past and once the cut was right, it was easy to maintain. The main thing is that you're happy with it and happier - that's what really counts. Don't take life too seriously, as you'll never come out of it alive! |

More length..............................(not tittering, LOL). Everything will come straight forward. The sides will probably come down to fully cover my ears. And the sides are puffed out a bit much right now...........that's the way she quickly blow dried it. So, styling-wise, more growing out before my stylist can do much more with it. And most of what is there right now was thinned out just a little by bleaching it for months. It should continue to grow in with a bit more thickness. Thankfully, my hair still grows pretty quickly. I can wait. For now, I am just splendidly happy with the color. This first time around, it may fade a bit more quickly before my first touch-up. After that, it may even darken a tad more. Here is a quick shot with it brushed forward.........as you can see, that does not quite work just yet. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |
