Do you not see?
Can you not feel my pain?
Are you so painless that my own pain does not affect you?
I am afraid to awaken, for the risk of pain is forever overbearing upon me.
Have you ever been in fear of waking up in the morning?
When the sun should shine?
You have not a clue what that is like,.

Perhaps one who shared this with me would understand.
He did so with an understanding of my pain.
He did so with an understanding of what I takes to be.........me.
And he knew what suffering I undertake ever say just to survive.
He knew every move I made, every step I took.
And just before the last step was taken, he stepped in before I could.
He knew everything moments before I did.
Ya wanna know who HE was?
Jesus Christ. The one and only,.

Now you know......................the rest of the story.

And the sad fact is that nobody ever listened to Paul Harvey too much.

And why does it fail?[url=
My life only exists to defy your denial of my life.
I do not like to shout.

Why do you think I love life so much?
Not because I love yours any less.
You are just as privileged as I would consider myself to be.
Paul Harvey..............good day and god speed.

That man had more to say than anybody really listened to.
This was a man of god. A man of faith. Of reason and intellect.
We should all have been guided by Paul Harvey.

one last thought.

Now thyere is a thuought.
I wish most you would get than through your heads.

If anybody is in contact with Scarecrow Dave, could you kindly inquire for the kitties where their wonderful kitty banner went? It's been awol for a couple of weeks now.
I sent him a PM, but he is not crunching for Seti at the moment, and doubt that he checks in for PMs much.

Meow?

Just to let you know how things are................................

The kittyman is going through some turbulence.
I am OK. The kitties are OK.
I am very dismayed with some things thrown my way in the forums, so have not felt like sharing anything with anybody for a while.
Sniping comments, thread locks, and the little concern shown by most when I did stop posting for a bit.
Also trying to cope with some new meds. 'Antidepressant' drugs can have many side effects. Including tossing one's outlook on life in the opposite direction of what their name would indicate. And trying to get by on 3 to 6 hours of sleep a night for weeks on end.

And I have not had a drink in a month. NOT saying that I have given it up or will not again in the future. But for now, alcohol and my meds do not mix well, and I have to give things a chance to settle out.

I am struggling, but not down for the count, my friends. My kitties have been a source of much strength for me.
And I do appreciate the few who have shown some concern and caring.
Thank you.

Trying to meow more.

Mark

Glad to see you are still alive and kicking.

Anti-depressant drugs are strange, a few years back I was on them. The first one was as you describe, it made things far, far worse. The quack then prescribed one that was supposedly "less effective" and I felt numb all over and totally out of it. Then at the third attempt she found something that worked for me, I was just slightly out of focus, and feeling "quite mellow", but more positive (sorry, I can't remember what they were, talking this through with her some months later she said "It's different every time, so don't worry about trying to remember as it's all in you records". Thankfully I've not needed to see her about depression in the last five years.

Well done. It took courage to do what you've done. When you realise that, it may help you to persevere.

Thanks for all the well wishes.

Every day I wake up, it's a new adventure.
Never know what frame of mind the meds are going to put me in.
Sometimes good, sometimes fair to partly cloudy, sometimes downright moody.
I just have to try to shake off the bad like a kitty does water and trudge forward for the day.

Meow.

And by the way............
Scarecrow Dave, many thanks for fixing the kitty banner.
Those little popup kitties always help me smile.
Meow!

Just have to ask, Mark.
Do your kitties welcome you in the morning with a French Kiss?
Our dog Tosca does:)

My kitties start the day with me the moment they know I am awake.
Meowing for attention, snuggles, and kitty kisses abound. And they get their morning pettings.
They really do help me get on with the day, even before I am sure just what my demeanor is.
They do help steer it in the right direction.

Meow!

Well, it was my day off, and I was busy.
My faithful Ol' Toothless had a well earned spa day.

First stop of the day, tires. I finally, after so many years I cannot remember, actually set aside enough to buy a brand new top end set of tires for my daily driver. Been runnin' used and half worn seconds for so long I can't tell ya.
Got a set of 195/70R14 Michelin Defender T+H. Took several weeks to special order them (not much runs on 14 inch skins these days). About $490.00, mounted and balanced. And they ride NICE! Cornering too.

Then it was off to another shop cross town to get a front end alignment done. Always a good investment after getting new tires. And especially since my mechanic and I messed the alignment up pretty good when we put a motor mount, transmission mount, and new cv joints/axle shafts in a couple of weeks ago....LOL. About $80.00 there.

Took a break and mowed my lawn.......................................

After doing that, I decided to keep going. Installed new rear brake drums, shoes, and hardware kits (big handful of new springs, clips, retainers, etc.). I did this at home in my own driveway. Old style drum brakes are a bugger to rebuild, some of the springs are under rather high tension and you can hurt yourself if you are not careful. But I have done it several times in the past, just takes a bit of time, care, and patience. About 2-1/2 hours worth of it. Drums, shoes, and the hardware kits were about $90.00. Labor was $00.00................'cuz I work real cheap on my own gear.

So, Toothless is in pretty fine trim again. Sure gonna enjoy them new tires.

Meow!
