In many parts of the U.S., clocks are due to be pushed ahead an hour at 2 am, March 12th. I know many people have electronic devices that do it automatically nowadays, but I still have many clocks, including my wrist watch, that need a manual twist. So... don't forget! The computers will take care of themselves, the cars, microwave, living room clock and TV won't, but the clock in the spare bedroom was not rolled back so soon it will be fine. |

My car does, but it keeps time via GPS. |

Another 3 weeks and we turn ours back down here. ;-) Several years ago the U.S. government expanded DST, and I don't like it, mainly because now the clocks don't change again until after Halloween, and that means the trick-or-treaters have to wait longer for it to get dark. I have two electric clocks that were programmed to set them selves automatically. That was before CONgrASS decided to muck the woks up. Just leave the time alone. Jeez already. [/quote] Old James |

GRRRRRRRRRRRR Then the thermostat at work is also that kind, so the Air is going to kick off before the end of the work day Monday, if someone doesn't reset it and then in three weeks it will go whack again when it thinks DST starts! |

I only have 4 devices to set, the range, the microwave oven, Grace's automated litterbox, and My car, the rest is on automatic, tv included. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

What is this spring forward you mention. I believe you are in Arizona, a state who chooses not to participate in changing the clocks. Smart decision, imo. The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

Now I'm getting confused. Spring forward? Shouldn't that be spring backward? |

Now I'm getting confused. No, the clocks go forward an hour. Spring forward, fall back. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Now I'm getting confused. Ok. I get it. But tell the cows that. "The cows can become stressed and annoyed if the food is not there on time, they start mooing and jostling and they become "gnauna" as they say in Danish - Morning sour!" |

Now I'm getting confused. Which is why we should just change the office hours of 8-5 to 7-4 and be done with the madness. |

Now I'm getting confused. 8-5 is with 1 hour for lunch, or in NK, for launch... ;) The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Summertime is a silly idea in the more Arctic countries. When do we need to take advantage of daylight the most, in the summer or winter? Right, in the winter! In the northern parts of Sweden you don't even see the Sun for some weeks in the winter. And during the summer it never gets dark. Have you tried to get some sleep in broad daylight and the buildings are still hot? And. When we set the clock to daylight saving time the risk of heart attacks and depression increases ! |

Each country has to adopt a system that is best for them. I would like to rephrase that to: Each northern countries had to adopt to a system that is best for other countries. |
