I've actually started posting more in Politics just to lose my sometimes-deserved disdain for the cesspool place. It's much improved from a year or two ago!

Are you suggesting that if Seti Moderators were to be paid money, they would do the job any differently?


As a moderator I am often embarrassed to find clearly hideable post that have been on display for much too long, because the moderators all have another life and moderating has to come low down on the list.

However in no way am I suggesting moderators should be paid, it is worth perhaps reminding some posters that we are volunteers and as such do the best we can.

Bernie - I'm not sure if this still applies, but when I was a mod there were some that one never saw "in action" from one week to the next. even when they were active on the boards - far from helpful to the rest of the team...
