I see you've been answering some of my comments, but yet have to see anyone answering this:
What is the main premise of the Seti project with regards to workunits?
Until better funding, better hardware, more staff, that premise negates all questions.
Cannot understand why that has failed to be understood.

we have to do with the seti@home limits of 100wu / CPU /GPU

perhaps a only one efficient rig who needs 400wu CPU /GPU /(the time of the outage) is too strong for that !

divide it into 4 differents and separate rigs who only needs 100Wu CPU/GPU /(the time of the outage) could be better to avoid run out of Wu

the Rac for the same user account will be the same ,
just separated in 4,
power consume should be the same,
perhaps need less money for example to buy four 400W psu / than only one 1600W psu ?
4 non high end user Mobo could be less expensive,
and then ,
on four rigs , you can avoid a big hardware outage and a big wu loss ?

the bigger could not be the better in this case ?

. . Actually I think I can help you by recommending a good optometrist. There seem to be plenty of green stars spread throughout this message thread, amongst most parties regardless of the side they are on.

More for the benefit/information of others, as I've already indicated (OK, well... I tried!) but a lot of that may be due to the forum policies that we are required to enforce. We may or may not agree with them all, but there they are, and they are there for good intentions of keeping this a respectful and pleasant place.

And I'll refrain from any further comment as we don't want to stray into politics or discussion of moderator actions, do we? :^)

There is an easy way to do that, without the need to separate the host.

Just run several instances of boinc on the host, each instance still have it´s 100 WU GPU/CPU limit of course but if you run 3 instances for example the number of total WU will be 3x. Just remember nothing forces you to run only 3... you just need to know how to manage the work flow. If you have one of the seti top hosts who is realy afected by the 100 WU limit, sure you are an advanced user, it´s easy to do that for you.

That will fix the WU shortage problem during most of the outages, even those who take an entire day.

For those who not remember the 100WU limit was put in place to protect the data base so it´s very unlikely somebody will change that. And sure makes no sense to rise the limit just for few hungry super crunchers hosts.

or.......

Do like many others, choose a backup project and continue to crunch and to be happy during the seti outages.

. . Approx 8 hours on my rig with the 1050ti (min 5 hours max about 10, if 100% guppis maybe 12)
. . On the machine with 2 x 1060-6GBs about 7 hours with mixed workload (I don't have specific numbers for that rig)
