Come on Keith, LOL, I'm stating that any single keyboard edit error exponentially increases with the number of additions or subtractions to app_info. I limited my exposure with a copy and paste where I didn't have to touch the keyboard. Whew! Successful. I've been burnt EVERY time so far that requires me to hand enter letters and numbers via the keyboard. Last mistake took 4 months to recover from. Well that sucks. Got home from work to find a CPU WU had errored out. 22no10aa.4806.7020.4.31.193.vlar Created 9 Mar 2017, 19:23:19 UTC Sent 9 Mar 2017, 21:38:54 UTC Report deadline 9 Mar 2017, 21:46:51 UTC Not even 10 minutes & the Scheduler decides it's taken too long to return? I notice the forums are still slow to load the threads, and clicking on Tasks for a computer can take a couple of minutes for it to eventually display, and my Manager is showing the odd Scheduler error (Couldn't connect to server) along with the usual difficulties in getting work (Project has no tasks available, even though there are plenty to be had). And now WUs erroring out within 10 minutes of downloading. It's not looking good for the weekend. Grant Darwin NT |

Hi and thanks for the link. I did try that earlier and did confirm that a lot of the downloads were corrupt. The one I was really interested in was the old 6.10.58 which I really liked. Corrupted unfortunately. I have the uncorrupt Boinc 6.10.58 for x64 on my livedrive: My Public Livedrive Claggy |

Well this was something new. UniMatrixZero SETI@home 2017-03-10 18:06:50 This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress And I'm all out of GPU work :-( "SETI is probably the most important quest of our time, and it amazes me that governments and corporations are not supporting it sufficiently."- Arthur C. Well this was something new. The server messages are sometimes not quite accurate. The servers had no GPU work to send, and there is no message scripted to say that, so the limit in progress message is the last one that falls out of the hat. Well this was something new. I suspected that. Just got some GPU work 31/200 in cache now. "SETI is probably the most important quest of our time, and it amazes me that governments and corporations are not supporting it sufficiently."- Arthur C. Clarke 2006 |

I just tried TBar's trick, Make 2 requests for an update, result is Last Request too Recent. Next timed request I got 85 tasks. |

And now WUs erroring out within 10 minutes of downloading. Forum threads are loading nice and quickly, can view tasks with a click and no waiting, no recent Scheduler errors in the Event log, and my cache is full and downloads are back to their usual speed. *fingers crossed* Although I notice the ready-to-send buffer is rapidly falling; the current received in the last hour rate is over 125,000 and it looks like the splitters just can't match that load. Well this was something new. . . I have had that too . . It seems to sometimes go by just one queue, it the GPU q is full then "reached a limit" even when the CPU q isn't, but mostly it is the other way around. Stephen :( |

I'm more worried about the decline went straight to the In Progress tasks. It almost looks like that ATI 8.23 blunder may be happening again, but likely a different app, CPU 8.05? |

Dunno..........it may be coincidental, but I sent Eric a message about two hours ago mentioning the RTS was dropping. It is now advancing slightly, and I notice that there are 4 pfb channels splitting at the same time, generally I think there are only 3, with the splitters ganging together on the same channels. Which does not have as good a creation rate when they are working on more channels and not banging heads on the same ones. Again, this may just be a coincidence, as I have not received a response from Eric. Good to see, in any case. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Lots of shorties about, received in the last hour went from around 110,000 to over 125,000 per hour. Grant Darwin NT |

Kinda doubt we will make it through the weekend with enough work .... maybe till Monday. Hope so. Down to about 100K tasks RTS and the tasks returned has jumped up to 135K/hr. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Yeah, a lot of shorties still in the mix, with a few noisy WUs. The splitters just can't keep up with that sort of demand. Grant Darwin NT |

Hmmm. Even flipping application preferences, the Scheduler doesn't want to fill up my cache at the moment. Grant Darwin NT |

I hesitate to comment because I might jinx myself. Haven't had to flip or Update in a couple of days now. I've been getting one for one on task retirement/replacement. Full caches for CPU and GPU. I haven't done anything to the systems. Must be good luck for me lately. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Well, after a first blip this afternoon and then that my BOINC was out of work for two contacts, it's now been over an hour and still no work. Just flipped the "If no work" from No it was on to Yes and forced an update, but still the same message of evil. I am sending these reports to David, perhaps that he sees something wrong. |
