Hello Friends, and welcome to the latest installment of the Critter Cafe.

If you are new to us, this is a place where Critter People come together to talk about whatever is on their critter-lovin minds.

All are welcome here. Nothing is "off topic" in the Critter Cafe, but I do ask that people be mindful of forum rules and conventions.

To start us out in our new thread, here is a picture of a couple of our snuggling critters - Joker and his sister Riddler:

This is from Calvin & Hobbes. It's the last six days of daily strips.
I read the strip here.

Nature can be harsh at times.............
But, one has to accept 'the circle of life'.
When I came home from work last Thursday, there was a freshly squashed bunny on my road.
This saddened me.
However, on Saturday morning, I had the opportunity to watch a beautiful red tailed hawk feasting on the remains.
A very large bird of prey. When it got done, little was left but bunny fluff.
The Lord provideth the bird with his dinner. So, the circle of life came around.
"Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster

Since this is being ignored for car matters that should be in the Transportation 3 thread instead of the Don't know where it should go? Stick it here! Part IV thread, I'll put this here...

Possible bad news, even though Surgery is supposedly going to be on Monday in Apple Valley CA @ St Marys, no one has called Me, to tell Me when to be there, so Monday may be off, and a New Hospital that accepts IEHP and has the proper tools to do the job has to be found(though not by Me personally), there is one Hospital near Hesperia, but they are a for Profit(the same place that worked on My left leg, with no rehab), they don't accept any policy or coverage that they don't sell, so it would be Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in far off Colton CA, beyond 100 miles away, and beyond My reach for the moment. Monday I'm calling My Doctor...

I do need 2 jars spaghetti cheese and more time release 625mg tylenol, and gas for the car, choices...

I did get $4 for driving a friend around Barstow, She owes Me another $6, but being halfway through the month, Her call probably won't happen today, I've been shorted like this before...

Ok, I have some News, I called My Doctors Office, I was told My Urologists Office is trying to get St Marys Hospital in Apple Valley CA to do the limited prostate surgery on Me(just to clear a blockage, still outpatient), so far they are still in negotiations, the date is so far for the 20th of March, the time is still not set, but that I will be called.

I wouldn't think it is that funny to Vic at the moment, but he does like regaling us with personal medical details that we really don't want to know about. 50/50 here I think.

Moving swiftly on ......

I often wonder how much a pallet costs to make, can't be much as they are obviously classed as expendable having regard to the value of the goods on them. Must be the same as those cement, sand, and ballast canvas bags that get dumped or not taken back.

Not every shipper considers them "expendable." Some want them back or you pay extra.
