You didn't look very hard - here's one from a couple of hours before you posted https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=80573&postid=1849033 and most subsequent posts in the same thread bemoan the lack of tasks coming out from the servers. You didn't look very hard - here's one from a couple of hours before you posted Yes, eventually i should click through every thread and read it until the end to find a notice that there is a problem also. I never would expect an announcement on this. Obviously i bothered you with my lazyness and i ask you to not help me or give me any information anymore, cause i better remain stupid then getting pissed at my leg all the time. Please dont help me anymore. ![]() |

This is such a common occurrence and possibly connected to the problems with the Centurion server, that the users usually find out about it earlier than the administrators do. They get then pinged about it by one or more users, after which they work silently on fixing it. It's more common around here that there isn't news about an outage than there is news about an outage. I know, Rob didn't really answer very diplomatically, but he did point out the one thread in which these things get talked about by the users. So if you have any problems getting work in the future, navigate to the Number Crunching forums in the Message Boards (from drop down menu Community), and look for the latest version of the "Panic Mode" thread, then skip to the end of it to see if someone is talking about it. If they are, not your problem. If no one is talking about it, it might still not be your problem, but you could ask about it in that thread. In the order of "I'm not getting work, am I the only one?" :) |
