"The Uninhabitable Earth", by David Wallace-Wells. (I don't believe this has been previously listed.)

Wouldn't matter if it had been.

The Fairy Godmother by Mercedes Lackey

She has written a whole batch of these based in the "500 Kingdoms" and "staring" "The tradition" a mindless magic force that trys to route everyone's personal story/life into a traditional role. Doesn't matter if it is a good tradition or a horrible tradition.

And what is a "righteous" Fairy Godmother to do?

Now that I've read all 14 huge books in Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series I'll have to get back into my library to see what I'll be reading next, but this time I'll choose a series that has smaller books to it.

Cheers.

I'm well into book 4 now, but at least my wrist and fingers are glad to be onto these smaller/lighter books and my eyes are also happy at being able to read the type without needing my reading glasses.

Cheers.
