I just finished Richard Russo's Straight Man. If you are part of a department large enough to have internal politics, especially academic internal politics, you will find that novel hilarious. |

I am reading, reluctantly, one of Ann Rand's novels. A friend lent it to me and I really want to have a fresh exposure to what she seemed to be advocating. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Now that I got my desktop running all of my preferred distributed computing projects simultaneously, I can start reading: Carl Sagan - The Demon Haunted World. [size=12]https://www.cynicusrex.com: a sentient stack of stardust pondering nothing and everything. |

Art in Minutes by Susie Hodge Subtitle: "200 key concepts explained in an instant" This is a high-level guide to "Art and Art History". It sets out to give you an introduction to World Art and succeeds. Now that your tastebuds are whetted you will probably need seconds. Tom A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |
