I just re-read "Princess of Wands" & "Queen of Wands" by John Ringo

I just finished a SF short story collection called "Cosmic Powers" edited by John Adams

And "The Dispatcher" by John Scalzi (Old Man's War etal)

I was trying to re-read an Urban Fantasy called "Demon Lover" but am going to be returning it to the Library unfinished. To many other things to read :)

That looks an interesting read. If you like railway history, Christian Wolmar has written several books on this http://www.christianwolmar.co.uk/

I just bought this book (Kindle edition) from Amazon.

You can check it out* here: http://amzn.to/2vuyP8k

~~
*As in, find out more about it. Nothing to do with a library.

Gordon,

Remarkable coincidence. I was just thinking of that equation
shortly before coming to this group.

Great minds... ;~)

I actually forgot to name the book in my post. It is "Communication With Extraterrestrial Intelligence". ~Good book. Mr. Kevvy mentioned it recently, and I've been wanting to check it out, so I did. :~) It's an interesting book because really in the grand scheme of things, it feels like the book could have been written today, but it's nearly 50 years old.

Finally getting through the Arthur C Clarke Space Odyssey series at work, and at home I'm re-reading (for what seems like the hundredth time) Red Dwarf - Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers. I've also got The Crow Road by Iain Banks staring down at me from the bookshelf...

CETI. I read that in the first paragraph of your picture post. So the book name wasn't lost.

As we seem to have stopped the threads about the recently departed I am posting this here, as I sure many of us have read books, to many to mention, and articles (Byte magazine etc.) by Jerry Pournelle
https://www.jerrypournelle.com/chaosmanor/
From Jerry’s son Alex:

I’m afraid that Jerry passed away.
We had a great time at DragonCon.
He did not suffer.

Another Author I have read a lot of, will no longer provide new things to read. So just have to re-read some older JP stuff.

Still reading "Starman Jones" by Heinlein. Jones is about to be captured by the natives.

Listening to the audiobook of "Time Enough for Love".

Finally finished my history of the Rio Grande Railroad (published in 1962, so there were 34 more years not covered).

Think I'll start net on The Chicago L. Also feeling a yen to reread a couple of old Star Trek novels.
