I admit to being a bit confused about the firing of Comey. The reasons given don't make sense. If it is an attempt to stop the FBI investigation, it won't. There are other investigations. To me it is just an admission of guilt, even if Comey is a bit of a Richard Cranium. ID: 1866454 · |

High crimes and misdemeanors is the legal term for impeachment. Treason is a capital crime. Isn't treason only a wartime crime? For example if I remember correctly Edward Snowden was threatened with prosecution for espionage if he returns to the U.S., but not treason. I think one either has to actively fight against the U.S. in wartime or give aid/comfort to an active wartime enemy (not just a cold-war or other adversary) for it to apply.
