You DO realize that Batista, during his initial election in 1940, had the full support of the Cuban Communists?

You DO realize that the income disparities under Batista (and his two successors as Cuban President) were due to the privileges enjoyed by members of LABOR UNIONS at the expense of the unemployed and the peasants?

Yes, we did our best to be friendly with Batista, but when Castro's revolution broke out in 1953 upon Batista's coup in 1952 , we did try to force Batista out.

6 days after Batista fled Cuba, the USA recognized the Castro Government. 6 months later, starting with President Eisenhower, the USA started opposing Castro.

We have always wanted to be friends with Cuba and the Cuban people (well, at least since the late 1800s)...

But it was Castro's brutal repression of his opponents in Cuba and his... rather extreme... anti-USA rhetoric that has prevented it.

Yes, the USA did a few naughties against Cuba, especially during the Castro era...
