It's not necessarily to keep the US citizens in, it more likely to keep the Latinos in as they are needed to keep the US economy going.

Of course it is.
How many US citizens would like to work with a minimum wage as best?

You are forgetting, tRump is going to lower the minimum wage, it is one of those regulations that harm business!

Actually in my country we dont have a minimum wage.
It's up to the employer and the employee to come to an agreement.
Still we are loosing jobs!
In Sweden, unlike most countries, no statutory minimum wage, but these are established through collective bargaining between the social partners, ie employers and trade unions, without direct government involvement.
Collective agreements are voluntary, why their lowest landmark represents only the minimum wage in the companies that have chosen to join collective agreements.
Thus, there is no minimum wage in Sweden, but the salary is a legally unregulated agreement between workers and employers.

But unions receive much scorn here in the USA.

Presidential Order: Wall to be built

Has anyone stopped to think about this?

It's not to keep people out...

...but to keep you Yanks in :-)

Think Canada had better build theirs just in case :-)

I already suggested that possibility a few months ago.
How did it work out for China?
East Germany?

Yes.
Why let employees have the same legal rights as employers?
To me the whole idea sounds more like:
Be a jerk.
Go to work.

Perhaps the "working class" should be renamed the "employee class" after all.

Insanity is being able to cross Niagara Falls from NYS into Canada in 1976 without a passport but not being able to without passport in 2007.

Indeed.
Trumps humour compared to Obama, Bush, Clinton is somewhat...

Schrödinger's cat

A cat, a flask of poison, and a radioactive source are placed in a sealed box. If an internal monitor detects radioactivity (i.e., a single atom decaying), the flask is shattered, releasing the poison, which kills the cat. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that after a while, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead. Yet, when one looks in the box, one sees the cat either alive or dead, not both alive and dead. This poses the question of when exactly quantum superposition ends and reality collapses into one possibility or the other.

I haven't been through that border since they started requiring a passport, I guess they don't want my money. I don't travel to other continents or Mexico and as such I refuse to get a passport just to make a trip that I consider to be local.

It is indeed sad that this is the world we live in. It's ok though, it's gonna be GREAT again as soon as we are living in a police state.

I am pretty sure it wasn't Canada's fault.
The U.S. wanted me to pay more for a longer trip after leaving a funeral.
