Hello, On my account I am supposed to have about 900WU "in progress". But locally I have only 240 (200 for the big computer, and about 40 for the little) Where are those WU ? Then also on my account page I have 3 WU in error. But it shows only one (overdue) Who can explain the two problems ? ![]() |

It's what we call 'ghosts', which happen when your computer asks for work, the server replies, but somewhere in the communication things go awry, the answer is lost on the internet and the tasks are never actually sent to your computer. The project used to have "Resent Lost Work" on on the server, but because this adds a lot of overhead on the already unstable database, it's not on always. |

Goede avond !!! Ik schrijf verder in EN !!! I can not understand. I have about 700 "lost" WU " and by the way, my account write I have 6 WU in error, but in details there are only 5 !?!?!? The WU in "error" are always as reason "timed out - no response" Almost sent on 02 jan. My computer runs 24/24 with connection always on. I really can not understand. As computer scientist, I very good know the TCP/IP protocol. It can happens a lost in communication, but then the "receiver" (me) send then a resent request of packet. I think there are some problems on the up/download server at Berkeley. ![]() |
