The preview works just fine, and I set the 'Wait' time to just one minute, but I wait for several, and the screensaver just doesn't start. The screen remains black when the computer is idle. |

You're on a forum where volunteers help users, it's not a professional forum with 24/7 immediate access to knowledge and help. Some of us (try to) sleep at night. With that said, what are the rest of your settings for BOINC? Suspend when computer is in use? 'In use' means mouse/keyboard input in last N minutes? Suspend when no mouse/keyboard input in last N minutes? Suspend when non-BOINC CPU usage is above N percent? Compute only between X and Y? What do the messages say around this behaviour? CTRL+SHIFT+E simultaneously opens the event log. Post some lines out of there that shows what it's doing. Are the calculations even happening? The Seti screen saver only shows when actual work is being done, and at that only on a CPU. Seeing you don't have a GPU, this doesn't matter in your case. |

This may sound really stupid, but I've lost the way to check these settings. I will copy the lines, though. |

I've discovered that the screensaver is running fine, it's just that the display is going black and not showing anything, instead of just generally not running. Is this a known problem? |
