I am running Ubuntu 16.10 and I have installed SETI@HOME and everything is looking good. I have installed the boincmgr - but that has much to be desired. I want something that looks like the screen-saver and shows what is being processed. Is there anything like that for linux? Thanks |

How did you install SETI@Home on Ubuntu? I asked this in a separate thread, and everybody ignored it. I'm using Ubuntu Mate. Please keep in mind that I am not computer literate. Please make all answers the best layman's terms you have. |

Yes you can install the "boinc-screensaver". Click on Synaptic Package Manager and type "boinc-screensaver". There you can see the Package. Just install it. Note: I've never done that so I don't know if that will work. Maybe you have to configure the .xscreensaver file Have a look here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/BOINC_screensaver I don't know if this is up-to-date so just try it ;) |

Dowload "boinc-screensaver" I am using Ubutu Mate 17.3 LTS and i try to install Grphics like i read in your answer before. I know it from former Windows XP but i never see Seti-Graphics on Ubuntu. I don't find or see "boinc-screensaver" in my "Synaptic Package Manager". My current Version is boinc 7.2.42. My MB include 1 X 64bit Intel CPU and 1 NVIDIA CUDA CPU. It would be nice to see Graphics again, Thank's |

I'm running 7.6.31 on Linux Mint 18.1 (Ubuntu 16.04). Maybe that's the problem. You have to update your Boinc Manager first. But I'm not really sure... so don't judge me. Hope some Linux-Experts are in here to explain it. |
