They've known nothing but, life in/under the EU, so maybe it is not so surprising, really.

British people have been life in/under the EU since 1973.
There are many of us being even older people, 60+, that have opinions about the EU.
But we are now in a minority.

That link isn't the important one.
Brexit vote by age group is more telling. And by the time Brexit is implemented the group that mainly voted for Brexit will have been halved.
So if and when it is finally completed the majority of those still alive voted to remain.

N.B. I am over 70, and voted remain.

And now it’s Estonia that has taken over the EU Presidency. Expect digital and neighbourhood issues to get priority!

janne...
I'm beginning to like that guy better and better :-)

So do I.
He explain our countries around the Baltic Sea with both stereotypes and real people without being offending and in a very funny way.

Since all the countries around the Baltic Sea but Russia are members of the EU one would thought that EU could address our problems as much EU does in the Central Europe (Mostly Germany).
Hopefully now Estonia having the EU Presidency (with help from their neighbors) could change that.

I don't think I'll bother with that ticket, Sirius. I'd never find it anyway, with the lights being out, after everyone plugs in their cars after work! As usual, the politicians really have not thought things through. Can you imagine the "council person" in their hi-viz, carrying a clipboard, fining people for the "trip hazards" across the pavement? Then we have the problem of Local Authorities basically setting limits and creating 'pollution charging zones'; it will be chaos. Not that I can see such things really working in areas, where the bus is once a week! Without a doubt, you've probably listened to the same news and looked at the same information, so I couldn't help noticing the amount of pollution attributed to petrol-engine vehicles - it didn't even look like 10%. So, there you have it; public transport in the form of buses, is not only expensive (cheaper than rail, though), slow and and unreliable, but also puts out, about double the pollution that all the petrol-engine vehicles do. I'm still curious as to what Volvo will be using as their primary power source, in their new 'hybrids' from 2015.....might it be a petrol engine? All electric, eh? Perhaps there will be a market for selling a child's windmill, with an electric motor and a puny solar cell attached to it, as a back-up power source for electric cars.....must dash, got to go to the patent office!

As a British EU negotiator, I can tell you that Brexit is going to be far worse than anyone could have guessed
http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/brexit-eu-negotiator-europe-euratom-airline-safety-negotiations-theresa-may-worse-anyone-guessed-a7858586.html

“Brexit means Brexit,” remember. Enjoy.

Steve Bullock worked at the UK Representation to the EU from 2010-2014 where he negotiated several EU regulations for the UK in European Council working groups. He has also worked for the European Commission and the Department for International Development’s Europe Department. The UK in a Changing Europe assisted with the commissioning of this piece. That's what it said at the bottom of the article. So, no bias, then?

Now we know why the Lib Dems did a U-turn on tuition fees.

£17.5bn pension deficit

"That means either they go up or there is a smaller amount of money that can be dedicated to teaching and research. And obviously the student fees that are paid are for teaching and research, not to pay for the folly of USS betting on equities over the last few years."

Must be Fry Day

One of the things EU often say is that EU stand for food safety.
Now this. And it's not the first time...
Within the EU, fipronil is not approved to treat animals and stables in food production. In Sweden, it is not permitted as a pesticide, but only as a means of lice, ticks and mites for dogs and cats.

Older people who voted for Brexit have "comprehensively shafted the young", Sir Vince Cable has said.

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, the Lib Dem leader accused the over-65s of being "self-declared martyrs" who claim leaving the EU is worth the cost.

"The martyrdom of the old comes cheap," he said, as fewer have jobs to lose and living standards are protected by the triple lock on pensions.

You should have looked into the author.

What more could one expect from a 76 year old phart whose only job outside of politics was as an economics teacher.

"In December 2013 Cable supported the continuation of zero hours contracts after a government review, saying "they have a place in today’s labour market", although admitting there had "been evidence of abuse." His statements were met with negative responses from British trade unions."

Also that same year sold off the Royal Mail cheap while Business Secretary.

The question, is why?

Good question.

The two biggest bigots here are yourself & cable. Or...

...doesn't the fact that oldies bring up youth after they themselves had lived their youth, amassed their status/wealth & then decry the fact that youth has been shafted?

It is you yourself Sir, that constantly introduces one's colour.

Aside from being a bigot, are you racist perhaps?

Your negative description regarding age "a 76 year old phart". As negatively describing a persons Gender, Race , Sexual Orientation. Says it all.

Education 101

Race
There is only the one - The Human Race of which there are many nationalities, colours, religions & traditions/culture. So what race do you refer to?

Gender
There are only two in the Human Race, male & female

Sexual Orientation
Where does the statement "76 year old phart" show such orientation?

Hmm, a university janitor & a university teacher both have something in common - they're employed by the university :-)
