I'll hold my hand up if I'm wrong., imho I doubt there will be that much of a change to society. The rich will get richer & the poor poorer. |

Well, to use a metaphor from Christian scripture... The 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse. 1. War 2. Famine 3. Pestilence 4. Death War leads to Famine and Pestilence... And all 3 lead to Death. The civil disruption from war frequently leads to famine as fields are not tended, not to mention the fields being direct targets frequently by the enemy. Pestilence follows as people are weakened by starvation, not to mention the breakdowns in the infrastructure due to the fighting. War, Famine, and Pestilence... all three lead to Death (and suffering). So you are correct in this point (at least, in my opinion). https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

And so we see the TRUE COLORS of those who espouse 'criticism of our Government' on the streets of our Capitol. I criticize my Government at the ballot box and on the soapbox. I do not (yet -- I have not been pushed that far -- yet) go around being violent and destructive to those I consider to be the 'opposition'. And Dr. King... From what I remember of him and his message before his assassination, I don't think he would look at what is going on with very much approval... Even what is done in his name by his former associates and supporters. Dr. King wanted to bring us forward and together to be one people... Not to further divide us like most of the civil rights leadership does today. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King wrote:

The sparring begins ahead of the main bout in March "The voice of business must drown out that of the bitter politics of the EU project." |

Not to further divide us like most of the civil rights leadership does today.+100 Division and violence was antithetical to everything Dr King believed and worked for. Criticism of the Government is a basic right of Freedom. Doing it through violent insurrection is not. Those that are unhappy with the choice made by the States in November should work through the system to change the outcome in the next election. No matter what the opinion of Donald J Trump as a person, the Office of President deserves respect as does the tradition of a peaceful transition of power. The alternative is chaos as we see elsewhere in the World(Ghana?). Disrespect of the transition by boycott is divisive and also disrespects the system this county was founded upon. Even Hiliary had the GUTS to show up, unlike her fellow Dimocratic congress people who chose to thumb their noses and call a legally elected President illegitimate. If Russia did try to interfere with the election their goal was sewing doubt as to the veracity of the American system, a ploy which 68 irresponsible persons swallowed, Hook, Line and Sinker. (I found it interesting, but not surprising, that the majority of those persons represent California, or La La Land). I respected the Office but not the empty suit that occupied it for the last 8 years. But I gave him a chance before criticizing. I supported Obama(I did not vote for him), and his hope and change, until the lies started. I will support Trump, but not unconditionally. If he is true to his word and works for all the people to bring them together in peace and prosperity. If he is not true to his word I will be as critical as anyone. A man is his word. A man is his word. Eye that is true and Trump's record of not honoring his business contracts is well documented. so far the man has not shown integrity. This is his chance to redeem himself. I hope he does but I am skeptical. |

That's the most un-American statement I've heard in quite some time. To hold your government accountable is to be a patriot. And to disregard your government's mistakes is to be ignorant. Because I had no real complaints for the last 6-8 years. #resist |

And so we see the TRUE COLORS of those who espouse 'criticism of our Government' on the streets of our Capitol. Yes, because some idiots chose to riot, that means I like riots and destruction too. Yep ALL liberals do! #resist |

I'll hold my hand up if I'm wrong., imho I doubt there will be that much of a change to society. YEP! Starting with: Given a chance to save poor people over 40$ per month on their FHA mortgages, the new POTUS and cronies said 'no way!' This is how we're going to look out for 'all' Americans. #resist |

What about all the pain/suffering/death that's caused by things not called "war"...If you believe the US is so evil..................move. Goodbye. So Long. Don't let the door hit you in the ass. Oh, the childish, stick fingers in ears and loudly say "la la la" reaction is now an acceptable response to criticism? And this from the person that wanted to engage in dialogue? Brilliant. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr seems to be popular to reference in this thread: ‘Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.’ Is as true today as it was when he said it over 50 years ago. I suspect if he were alive today, he would be on the side of Black Lives Matter,, they did when he was saying it, and they still do today. I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ... |

What about all the pain/suffering/death that's caused by things not called "war"...If you believe the US is so evil..................move. Goodbye. So Long. Don't let the door hit you in the ass. Dr. King did resoundingly condemn police brutality. But he ALSO condemned violence in attaining equality for the blacks. Evidence:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/17/i-have-a-dream-speech-text_n_809993.html Yes, he did condemn the racist injustices and police brutality that the black people were suffering. But he did condemn using violence and destruction in the struggle to end the injustice and police brutality that the blacks were suffering. While he might be in favor of the stated goal of BLM to end the police brutality against blacks, he certainly would not be in favor of the violence the BLM movement has engendered. He looked forward to the day when we would all be united as one people... And the methods of BLM just serve to divide us further. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. With the many protests worldwide against Trump (which I find hilarious as the man has only been in power for 24 hours). the Liberals & Socialists are too focused with their own personal agendas that they are blind to what is staring them in the face. A well written & interesting report that is worth reading: Assault on Europe Part 1: Donald Trump and the New World Order Assault on Europe Part 2: Europe's Last Toast? |

I take offense to that statement Sirius. I for one have been saying all along that we will see worldwide turmoil as a result of the incoming POTUS and his affiliations. I certainly am not only focused on my own agenda, rather I've been trying to point out the ugly agendas that could stem from this administration. #resist |
