If you checkout the Hosts in the Top 30 you'll find they have similar In Progress to Pending numbers. The difference becomes greater the Faster your Host is compared to the Average Wing-Person. . . Do you think he might own shares in the company ? Stephen :) |

For what it's worth, the little problem with the v8 preference switch has not been addressed yet. Just turned it off for about 15 minutes, and sure enough, the rigs on that preference stopped getting new work. Somewhat annoying since that lowers the chance of getting AP work, when there's any that is. |

Yes and it seems the 8 K80's are really in groups of 3, how else do you explain the machine creation times. 8159697 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:19:59 UTC 8159698 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:19:59 UTC 8159699 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:19:59 UTC 8159701 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:20:02 UTC 8159702 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:20:02 UTC 8159703 Created 10 Dec 2016, 19:20:02 UTC Two batches of 3, 3 seconds apart, not sure I could do that!! Also not all machines are running all the time 5 havent reported since the 10th, 11th and 12th of December . Seems it could be another "test" using SETI@Home to test new clusters of machines. |

Probably instances from AWS or a similar service. Depending on where you live the cost to buy, power, and maintain the hardware yourself can be more vs renting time for some cloud instances. I have a few systems configured similarly in our development clouds at work and they seem to work pretty well. Is anybody getting any work? I have not received any downloads since about 1:30pm Eastern Standard Time. Nothing is stuck or suspended, but I am just about of work units. Do we need to make any changes at our end because of the changes in the encryption? Just wondering if something wrong at my end. Still the same... Is this BUG reported to the admins? |

You folks will have to check it again after the outage and report back here. I shall be at work until the early hours of the morn. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

SSP hasn't updated on schedule though only 20 minutes old now. Still getting new work out of the already split buffer. How can you tell the splitters are offline? Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

In the Aricebo status columns, Channels in progress=0, also Process status tabs show Red Not Running for both AP and PFB (MB) splitters. As you noted, SSP is frozen so actual status is indeterminate. |

Must have been looking at a cached page. I didn't see anything other than both GBT and Arecibo splitters were splitting and Channels in Progress showed tapes online and count was > 0. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

Showing your age Stephen... From radioman or early CB or amateur radio hobbyist lingo. Means receive signal strength is max 5 and intelligibility is max 5 on unit-less scale. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |
