Showing your age Stephen... . . Aahh, never was into amateur radio, and I don't recall that term from the local guys who were, so maybe it is US jargon ... . . Thanks for the explanation :) Stephen :) |

Well, it appears that there has been no fix for the v8 checkbox bug yet. Tested it again this morning. Unclicked v8, dropped 40 some tasks from cache. Reclicked it and in a couple of rounds of work requests cache bumped right back up. Have sent Eric and Jeff a reminder message about the situation. Meow. Eric reports: I fixed the AUTHORS file on main. The same problem probably exists on beta. I will investigate between meetings today. Claggy |

Whist I was away at work, Eric replied that he is still trying to figure out the v8 checkbox bug. Said it looks like it should be working, but obviously is not. Meow. "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Eric reports: That was me. I sent Eric a PM pointing him at the "Linux app query" message thread where I have setup one box as a Linux host and it errored out all the WU due to size mismatch. I guess he got confused who sent the message. I can confirm the host is now crunching its first Seti work unit. BOINC blog |

Tbar mentioned in another thread a lack of Guppies, and a dwindling RTS buffer. And, yeah, I've only got 2 Guppies (both resends) in my cache. Arecibo & Guppie resends are all that's available. Grant Darwin NT |

Same here, on my "Big" rig with 198 cached GPU workunits I only have 17 guppies..... "SETI is probably the most important quest of our time, and it amazes me that governments and corporations are not supporting it sufficiently."- Arthur C. Clarke 2006 |

My kitties have the caches full of................. If what you are saying is true, nothing but Arecibo? If so, the kitties are up for a crunching holiday. A pure kibble diet? Meow! "Time is simply the mechanism that keeps everything from happening all at once." |

Looks like more guppies in queue, and 7 gbt splitters running, but total split rate @ 30/sec seems to be below replacement levels ... should max near 60, iirc. |

. . Still "Project has no tasks available" :( My caches seem to be holing their own ATM, but I did check all my backup projects' preferences just in case. Cheers. |

My caches seem to be holing their own ATM, but I did check all my backup projects' preferences just in case. About 40min since I got any work. And it was a Guppie re-issue. Couple more hours & the GPUs will have a chance to rest. Grant Darwin NT |

My caches seem to be holing their own ATM, but I did check all my backup projects' preferences just in case. . . 3 rigs, one got a download once in the last 4 hours that filled its cache for a while, but none since and the other 2 no work at all in that time, caches are getting low and the 1060s are ready for the weekend off ... it seems getting new work ATM is a bit of a lottery. <sigh> [update] just got a load for the i5, cache now full again] |

All bar 1 PFB spltters are now running. As long as we don't run out of Arecibo data, we should be able to continue to get work till the Guppie supply issue is resolved. Grant Darwin NT |

It really isn't a good idea to look at the credit granted. 2 WUs Runtime Credit 270.46 120.02 272.46 70.93 An extra 2 seconds gets 49 less Credits. :-/ Grant Darwin NT |
