Just to note that there is a lot of sensitivity to the readability of the website style depending on the device being used for display...

I had a quite a giggle for an earlier comment about the site looking good on a HD extra-wideview 40-foot display set to extra-vivid... (ok, slight exaggeration ;-) ) ...

Well...

Moving from a graphics pad to now my normal computer monitor and, despite no 40-foot extra-vivid monster, the normal display almost knocks me off my chair in comparison...

Two notes from that:

 • The alternating light-gray - dark-gray bands for the forums listing are a little harsh/stark;
 • Are the fonts too fine/slender to render well on lower resolution displays?

On this (big) monitor, the web site looks good and positively different/distinctive.

Good luck for the tweaks!

Keep searchin',
Martin

Login, Password and Sort panels are suddenly 'overly large'...............just a comment.

The Sort feature box is awfully big, now.

Annoyingly so.

EDIT- And it would be nice if the Quote bars in posts were light enough to see. As it is they blend in very well with the back ground.

I do like the new Boinc forum. The only thing I had to do was to turn down the monitor's brightness. Very comfortable on the eyes. Any chance that could happen here?

Any ideas if there is a way to get my kitty banner and Boincstats block to display side by side again instead of one over the other?
Before the forum update, I was able to do this by putting the img lines one after the other, with no space between them.

I have not changed anything, but now the forum will not do that.

One of the attributes that's being assigned to your images when the page is actually created is "display: block". It probably needs to be "display: inline" (which is normally the default) to get it to display the way it used to. Nothing you can change. It's up to the guy doing his Alpha testing in production.

OK....thanks for that input.
Now all I can do is hope that Dr. Anderson picks up on this and is willing to correct it.
Not a huge deal for me, but I originally did it to save vertical space in the forums.

It isn't just in signatures. When making a post it is also stacking the images instead of putting them side by side.

Which doesn't sound like a huge issue. Unless you trying to post several images side by side for comparison. Then your post may become very long.

And is it just on MY end, or does everybody else notice that the forums have more noticeable lag since the new format was introduced?
Not always, but sometimes it just sits there.

There have been a couple of times over the last couple of days where the web site as a whole has taken some time to respond.
Each time I've been thinking "down we go again..." but luckily that hasn't been the case (so far).

My issues with the new forums are still the almost invisible quote indicator bar (it has improved, but just a little more contrast would be nice) & the ridiculously sized post order selector boxes.

Excellent.
The quote bars are now visible, and the post order boxes are of a much more suitable size.
Thank you.

The Server Status page could still use a link back to the Account page.

Also just a small thing, but on the individual team page it was selectable to display teams results in either RAC or Total Credit order.

Now it just displays as Total Credit order and RAC is not selectable.
