MacBook Pro running El Capitan with Boinc 7.6.22 (most recent version). Seti@Home tasks will begin running and then Postpone with status report: "Postponed: Waiting to acquire slot directory lock. Another instance may be running ". Have tried suspending and restarting, no luck. Then uninstalled and reinstaled 7.6.22 also with no luck. Any ideas? This started about four days ago. Otherwise has worked for years....

Many thanks. Paul

"Postponed: Waiting to acquire slot directory lock. Another instance may be running ".

This means that BOINC finds that another task is already occupying the slot that it tries to assign the new starting task to.

Best try with our latest development version if you can reproduce that error:
Macintosh 7.6.33
- boinc_7.6.33_macOSX_x86_64.zip
- boinc_7.6.33_x86_64-apple-darwin.zip
- boinc_7.6.33_macOSX_SymbolTables.zip

Jord,

Appreciate the comment. However, the problem seems to be fixed. Restarted the Mac and Seti@home is running normally now.

Many thanks. Paul
